I read a story a while back which was about this guy who was the national kick boxing champion. He was always angry and not affraid of nobody. He was driving his car and stopped at traffic lights, there was a truck in front of him that missed making it through the green light. He gets out of his car to go abuse the truck driver gets to the truck door and the next he remembers while sitting on the median with blood running down over his eyes is this bald, glasses, fat fifty something truck driver with a tyre level in hand telling him if he doesn't get back to he's car he'll get another one.

While sitting there with his tee shirt around his head and the truck long gone he discided to change his life for the better found God and helps young adults not make the same mistakes.

Pepper spray is not legal to carry in Australia as well. And the gun laws are very strict especially hand guns.

Police would have found that guy if he had done all that to me he would have been still under my car when they turned up. Dead!

Looks like Salisbury Hwy, that feral in the car would be heading home to Salisbury or Elizabeth.

Recently, I have had more and more incidents like this. People give no room for trucks to stop or change lanes. Drivers will pull out in front of a truck or stop on a yellow light, forcing the truck to stop abrubtly. Without these trucks no one would have the cars they drive, groceries, equipment or clothes and yet they show zero respect for a truckie.

I have quit driving due to these issues. That car carrier probably owned his truck and would of likely have been in his late 50's early 60's. Toll is a good company, they made a few bad choices, but they pay well, treat employees well and vehicles are maintained. Instead of driving off, the car filming it should of got out and helped the truckie. People should of stopped and got out to help, I couldnt just drive past. If we all help each other, then these incidents would lessen because of the assistance of on-lookers, and I do suggest physically helping the driver. That guy was full of courage kicking the semi, but say four guys stopped and gave him a beating? He would think twice before he pulled another stunt like that.

Best suggestion would be a dash cam.

A tyre iron is usually at arms reach and can easily be justified if questioned.

I worked with a top driver, but after one too many of these incidents, he took a knife to a guys throat after he confronted him at traffic lights. During the day theres too many eyes, but driving at night and sorting out these dickheads by your own means is easier to ######## when the cops arrive.

Oh dear lord...props to the guys in costume. The extra squish may have helped but it's still hard to move around in those.

And that police report... "Some ####### wouldn't let me over, so I got out and gave him the what for...and then sponge bob and some guys in furry costumes got out and started wailing in me man!"

A drug test I'm sure followed.

    Nice one.

One had to stop laying the boot in to collect his head.

As long as the right person is targetted. I dont want to instigate violence or vigilantes, but too many people look on or drive away. Pull over and help where possible, call the cops, these that are starting the road rage are going to start on the wrong guy one day. The movie Falling Down comes to mind.

The movie, "Watchmen" comes to mind for me. But I'm the same way, citizen justice is good provided that it's towards the right person. Mob mentality kinda kills that though.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0409459/

While I normally dont lean towards violence, and love to solve things...diplomatically? ;)

I will admit to carrying a 3lbs sledge...err...tire thumper in the cab. Just in case diplomacy fails...uhh...in negotiating the air pressure of my tires!

"Speak softly and carry a big stick and you will go far." And, "Diplomacy is the art of saying 'good doggy' until you can find a rock."

Both good quotes that come to mind.

Very true. And that how a dogs fight.

The general public know that we wear company logos on our shirt, the trucks are clearly branded. If that truckie jumped out and started swinging he would of lost his job. Just wind your window up, lock your doors, turn the radio up and sit tight. He will do more damage to himself than the truck.
