    I don't know about the number of stops, but the WM truck that delivers, um,mms,e that picks up, in my neighborhood is manned by one driver. It's a rear load truck so the poor guy gets out and in at every house, some I can imagine 800-1000 times a day...and he's not a young fellow, either.

    Makes my knees ache just thinking about that...lol OK for the young bucks in their 20's but working a REL truck by yourself is a nightmare!

    There are four trash companies that operate in my area, only one of which uses a manual load. I don't even know why any garbage company uses manual loads anymore. I would think the job-related injury rate would make it worth paying for whatever the hydraulic arms cost well worth it.
