@jdshroudie..
Here's a quick response for ya in case snows can't respond for a while.
Ct does offer Tuition Reimbursement up to 6k. They'll pay up to $150.00/month towards your tuition as long as you work for them.
What I can't remember is how long you need to be employed there before it starts... I think it's a month, but don't hold me to it. -
"Availability pay"...
I was told that drivers would receive and extra $75.00 in their pay check, in addition to their CPM if they decided to stay out over the Weekend. Is this what they consider Availability Pay???
Also, What does it cost to wash the truck?
Thank you, -
On tuition reimbursement, they begin paying $150/month after 1 to 2 months of employment. On weekend work, I'm told that they now pay $100 for staying out, but I'm not sure if that's per day or for the whole weekend. This is not the same thing as Availability Pay. Availability Pay is only paid if you elect the 31 CPM pay scale, and if you are at your Monday morning delivery by 8am and are available to work each day through Friday.
Blue Beacon charges $54 to wash the tractor an the engine. I've also used Turnipseed near Birmingham on I-20 at $40. -

-
In response to 3dpug's questions;
If you tell me specifically what you want to see on the truck, I can take additional photos and post them.
The trucks are governed at 62 mph.
The company will reimburse for tolls if they are necessary or result in a significant savings. They do not have Prepass.
My miles have continued to remain above 2000/week. I'll post exact numbers soon. I think it's worth mentioning that the company and my DM are very good about accommodating me. I asked to be routed to Atlanta for my weekend time a couple weekends ago and it wasn't a problem at all. Another time I was sent for a pickup in the afternoon and arrived at the shipper as they were closing the gates. I had to go back to a Lowes at 3:00 pm to spend the night. The DM put in a $40 layover pay for me. This is the second time this has happened. Also, I've found just a couple of pay errors that were corrected with their apologies and the pay was included on the very next paycheck. I'm beginning to see why so many of the drivers stay with this company for many years.
