Do they use computers? Use the on board computer. Send a message asking for your reload before you need it.

As stated above: "leave!" If you aren't pleased and under contract then no one is forcing you to stay.

I disagree, I screw off all day long but still answer my phone typically on the first ring.

It could very well be that there is only so much freight to go around. In the mean time time, there may be too many trucks competing for that limited amount of freight.

There is a possibility that a certain number of truck drivers may have to look for other jobs if there is that much of a freight shortage.

There's not a freight shortage. Some drivers don't communicate with the dispatcher as they should. Have to keep the dispatcher informed as to when you will be unloaded and hours available. I have, at times, lied and said "I'm empty" when in truth still was being unloaded, but felt like I would be empty in 45 minutes or so.
Other Midwest-coast drivers have posted on here they run strong all the time. They seem to be the ones getting the long coast to coast runs.

C & C, Leftnut and mje Thank this.
