travis do not follow your coaches lead. If he stops at walmarts every chance he gets and for an hour at a time, that is not a very good way to run. I stop at Walmarts but only to reload and about once a week. If you have a load and only running on a day there is no reason to be at 13.5 hours. When you are actually fueling you are off duty when you pull up to the line after fueling then go on duty fueling and for only 5-6 minutes, go inside and get a receipt to close out transaction. 70 hours goes real quick and you need to save every minute. I only log 1-2 minutes to log checking in and out of shippers and receivers. You have to keep that driver side door closed when running. the more efficient you get the more money you make and the better chance at getting the better loads cause you will have more time to run and they look at that stuff when deciding who gets what load. Just a few of my tricks to maximizing my e-logs to get more miles. The earlier you start your day the better miles you will get, I usually start 0000-0100 less traffic in cities. You get through cities at that time at the speed limit no traffic.

Stopped at Bentleyville PA Pilot at 7pm last night. Ate, slept. Up at 1am, paid a couple of bills, fiddled on facebook. Might as well get up. I stink and I am starved. TEN is up at 5am. If I get going maybe I can make Missouri before I shut down. Schlepping 43000 of roll paper up hills won't be easy. Wife sez I am cranky. Nooooo, only Pete can hold that title. Longest trip of my short career and here I thought January would be slow. Better get a shower and something to eat before I really get cranky. Deuces.

I'm down for the night in Columbia, TN. Drop this load (early) around 0900 tomorrow in Edwardsville, IL. Things lined up nicely so next week should be a really nice paychrck. Tomorrow is the second day of our week and I will turn in paperwork for a 1000 mile trip ((they pay your first deadhead home)) plus I will have $180 layover pay for the lazy day I spent in Albany, GA between stops. Plus I wilk still have a solid 5 days more to get miles for the week! Tomorrow's pay won't have a truck payment so should be a pretty nice check too. Which we need cause we've got bills to get paid on the first.
I am back on the road with Avett and all my stuff. That truck is finally starting to feel like home! My DM knows I Wil be dropping early and should have a preplan for me in the morning.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
Edwardsville, is that the candy place across from the J? If it is then it an easy drop-n-hook. I used to go there with previous companies. If it is still the same. I wonder if you will run the yogurt out of Ohio. Or to Hershey in Pa. Nice and easy that run Hershey. Do you guys run the fish out of Ms and Al? Lots of stops on those. The best run I ever had came out of the Portland, Or. area, a nursey with 13 stops in OKC. $50 first stop $75 each additional plus $35 for pushing racks of plants to the end for each stop. That was mostly for Central Refrigerated. Hope it keeps going well for you HB. You should like that side of refrigerated better a little more challenging but feel like more of a prfessional for sure. I miss the long runs of 3,000+ from one corner of this country to the other. TA has small runs compared to those. Wonder if you run out west a lot. Tough hills but learned a lot running them. Braking is way different out there when going down hill vs. the east side(these are like the bunny slopes in the east). Beautiful out there. One of my favorite roads is I-84 next to the Columbia river. Any way I will stop reminiscing about that, hope you get to experience all that. Crazy wildlife out there.
Last night at home. bringing some of that pulled pork out on the road with me tomorrow. Will be a bad week for my settlement next week but still need more time. Going home so little leaves so much to do except rest. Last time home Dec. 17. lots do to. Hopefully get a good nights rest but still so much more to do.dennisroc, .honeybadger., gntorres61 and 1 other person Thank this. -
