Got hit hard core at Midway Petroleum in Cuba, MO.

Nothing looked amiss when I left, as in fuel caps being off and all but I noticed my fuel gage was way low considering I fueled up in Richmond, IN. Stopped in Rolla to take a closer look and sure enough, the fuel was way down in my driver side tank. Also noticed fresh fuel spilled on the side that I didn't see this morning. ####### pissed right now.

I didn't hear or feel a thing last night. :(

Were you in the truck sleeping when it happened?

I hate thieves! I guess all you can do is call the truckstop, and see if they happen to have a camera pointing in the direction of where you were parked (doubt it though)...and ask to submit that video with the local cops. Most likely just gonna have to chalk it up as a loss.

Note to all thieves: Try what you want...but don't ever, ever let me catch you. One of us will be in jail, and the other in the hospital.

I assume that's when it happened but I was inside for a couple hours when I got there so in theory it could have happened then too.

I doubt they had cameras pointing that direction since I was on the back row in the dirt lot and even if they did it wouldn't have been light enough to see anything.

I talked to dispatch and they told me me let Kyle the fuel department guy know.

I know in my Volvo, if I'm parked at an angle, driver side low side. Fuel from passenger side will transfer to driver side. My float level is on passenger side, takes a while to level back out.

Note to you: When the emotion wears off, that might not seem like a fair exchange.

I once beat a thief. He asked for, and deserved it, but my PTSD kicked in and I gave him too much of it. I know he thinks of me whenever he puts in his teeth, and I rarely think of the jail time, but it still wasn't worth it.

Now that the sun is up I can see they spilled a lot of fuel all over the place between the tanks and on the catwalk. I can't believe I didn't hear anything. :(

OH, OH, that was your truck?:biggrin_25518: You know, in this day, and the price of fuel, you'd think all trucks would have locking fuel caps.
