Just wondering what brand of truck batteries you would recommend. The next time I buy batteries, I want to make sure I get good ones that work well and last a while. Appreciate your input. Thx.
What brand of batteries do you use?

I've had real good luck with Napa batteries, Interstates don't seem to be as good as they once were.

DEKA battery is the only AMERICAN made Battery left. I bought three, 2 years ago and there still running like a champ. The Interstate Workaholic battery was once superior, not no more. I had a set of 4 that lasted me 5 years and that was 15 years ago. Now there made in Mexico.
me myself and I Thanks this. -
I would not recommend Mack's.

I have the napa 3100 series. going on 2nd year so far o.k. batteries always lasted me 3 years no more, always bought at truck pro before.

I use Exide on freightliner and ukrainian Starta... Seems to me both are of same quality.
I tried Bosch, Warta and other european batteries and I'd say - the same quality for more $$$.
Friends use unknown chenese batteries. All are of different quality, like chenese tires -
My truck had Exide batteries on it when I bought it. Pretty sure they were new at the time. 2 of those exploded at the turn of the key on two seperate ocassions.
I have Napa batteries on it now. Can't really say who has the best, the Exides always started the engine great other than the explosions. NAPA batteries are doing well so far.

I been running the blue label exide for years with good results. They outlast other brands I have used from truck pro and a few other local shops that sell different brands.
Mack batteries are exide with Mack labels and I've had issues with them as well. Never ran the red label exides and think the only difference between the three is the cca.
Run 4 batteries instead of 3 and they will last a little longer as well. -
I use NAPA. They are make for them with a different lable by DEKA

My next set of batteries on my Kenworth will be either from Dodge, Ford or GM!
I have a 2005 Dodge 3500 dually diesel that have the original batteries and are just starting to loose power in the cold weather, i was telling a mechanic who owns a truck service center and asked him why they lasted so long, he stated that the big three order better batteries due to the extended service plans they have, he also showed me in his shop that he purchases Ford batteries by the pallet for customers who want a better product.
I wonder who builds the batteries for the big three?
