the company that hired me is hiring me as a contractor....besides paying 165$ per month for health insurance..they are making me get a "corporation" and a tax ID number and bank account...of course i have to pay for that too......all comes out of my first two(2) paychecks that they will hold....so im i already getting screwed ?and if not what are the pro's and con's of having a corporation and ID NUMBER.... i am new to trucking and had two other jobs (both less than 3 months)where they never cared about this or made it known i had to get a ID number.....i also have been screwed over before with the other two companies....short checks/still owed money...left stranded with no fuel -forced to run illegal(why i quit both) and left hanging for days with no load and no pay ect ect..so any help would be great so i know im just not being paranoid

Sounds suspicious. You should pass on that 'opportunity'.

Sound like they want you to form an LLC so they can pay you on a 1099. You'd be responsible for paying your own quarterly taxes. Stay away from that crap.

You would need to hire a CPA just to keep your taxes in order so the IRS doesn't come after you.
Keep it simple & stay away from that.
Apply for a regular job for now and let the trucking company just pay you.
You hinted in another post, you can't go to Canada, so with that plus job hopping, your options are limited. There's still companies that will give you a chance.

    Paschall Truck Lines
    Comet Transportation - Harvey, IL
PI&I Motor Express - Masury, OH
    Western Express
    Roadtex
    Carolina Cargo
    Ard Trucking Co.

All those companies hire felons, so you'll be on the road within 48 hours or at least on your way to orientation.
