It sounds like you created most of your own troubles. The second I noticed the exaust leak I would have told the shop boy ( and I use the term loosely) that the only place I would drive the truck too is the nearest shop for repair. Now it sounds like you need to man up and stop whinning. You sound like one of the many on this board that either are afraid to stand up for you're self or one that just looks for something to complain about when the whole time you are most of the problem. Just sayin...........

Man up and stop whining... you certainly wouldn't say that to my face. I'll dismiss your comment as one allowed since you're hiding behind your keyboard, instead of being a man and facing someone when you talk trash.

When I noticed the leak, I reported and asked where I could take it to get it fixed NOW. I was told that the ONLY place I could have it fixed was in OKC... and was told that ny the shop guy (Rob), the dispatch supervisor, the dispatcher (Steve), etc...

It took screaming at the safety manager to get the thing into a shop... and only after screaming. And I still got ripped by the shop guy AND he cursed out the lady manager at the TA shop - they're a class act all the way around.

I got a nasty response from their lawyer today, glad to scan and post the actual letter. They indicated that I manipulated the photo of the exhaust leak/flexpipe, but of course, I didn't, and they have no basis for the accusation except to cast doubt. There's no way the assembly photographed was manipulated, you can tell there was a huge space/crack, because you can see where a large amount of soot was on the pipe - it wouldn't have been there if the pipe was closer together, or it would at least be damaged, or look less uniform. I'm an automotive expert witness... I don't need to manipulate anything - never have, no need to vary from the truth. The truth will set you free, as they say, and I can give a full-blown explanation of the photograph... I've done similar testimony in hundreds of cases.

The lawyer also indicated that I violated some company policies, and that's the only way I could have been presented with a request to drive for two days straight - that makes absolutely no sense, and I did a screen shot of the qualcomm message requesting that I make the run in question... and of course, their server can be subpaoened.

Letters to OK DOT and FMCSA are going out next week - had some work stuff to do that prevented me from writing them just yet.

Well bud i certianly would say it to you're face. the truth sometimes hurts. If I personaly knew you i wouldn't "hide behind your keyboard" I would "Man UP" and say it to you're face. Bro i've been in the same place. The only differance is I stood my ground and got the repair done. Even after the shop told me that the only place to get the repair done was the comapny shop. No bro I ain't trash talkin, just tellin it like it is.

I tried two shops, where I would just pay for it myself, since the guys at OKC were being morons.... and a TA and a Petro wouldn't work on it because I wasn't the owner - so... either I drive it and keep trying to fix it, or I abandon the truck, take a bus, and ruin my career - a person shouldn't have to do that - manning up has nothing to do with it.

I caught three bullets, have a Purple Heart and Silver Star for "manning up", so feel free to pleasure yourself for thinking I'm not a man.

In my original postings, I didn't include this one line.. taken from the letter I sent them. Since they don't sseem to care what's being said about them, I'll add this tidbit - this was written in the same paragraph with the bit about the owner arguing with me over front axle weights and making me run overweight.

He and I argued about it, and my take on it was "I know that Randy Timms wanted to appear authoritative and forceful, but his message was pompous and arrogant, and it was received as just cheap and ignorant".

I worked for Western Flyer....it took me to work for them to finally give up on trucking and go and work in the private sector! 1st is WHAT EVER YOU DO...DO NOT LEASE A TRUCK FROM WESTERN FLYER!!!!These people don't want you to own the truck..just pay for it. starting in the last year of your lease the B.S. starts... low miles...piss tests every time you go back to the shop...anything they can do to see if you did anything they can catch. Plus the other driver was right!!! The shop WILL NOT FIX anything on the road...they'd rather get the part you need off one of their rollover pieces of crap they have on the lot. I had a hole on my fuel tanks patched with JB Weld....(NO it was on there when I got the truck), once the weld broke...I asked for used or new tanks to be put on, because ...iam paying for the truck...wanted to keep it...well it was repatched with JB Weld AGAIN!!! had a blow out...was told to limp the truck back to the yard...tire on the truck was replaced with an almost bald trailer tire....was told by the guy that, "this is what the shop said to put on"!!!
I have so much to say about this company...best just not go to this company...there are too many good ones out there...
OH I LEFT TRUCKING....IF ANY BODY IS LOOKING FOR A GOOD PAYING JOB OUTSIDE TRUCKING... well I build the tower structures for the windmills...it starts off @ 17.75 per hour...they are running 24/7 and cant find enough people to fill the open slots....Clinton, IL US51... company name is Trinity....get out of trucking...be home every night and make cash without owing the IRS every year.....

    keep safe out there people
