clarification: there are a lot of cement customers that are not oil field related .....i run cement and will fill in on sand when needed....I prefer cement (dry bulk) jus got tired of the rat race per se....good luck in the oil/gas fields....

The gas price is up I suspect because the refinery are on strike for Shell mainly in Texas. The union wants a better contract and Shell is saying no, so 19 refineries are on strike.

If they approve the keystone pipeline, which it looks like they are going to do. Then that's where the work is going to be at for a while. Skills like welding and trucking will be needed to bring in stuff.

I would seriously start researching and planning how I fit into this equation and see how the numbers come out. Early Bird Always gets the worm.

Obama has stated he will veto it, and there are not enough votes to overide the veto...

but in other news, there are already other pipelines hauling the oil to the US, they just don't terminate in Cushing OK.

One of them terminates in WY. Then the oil is either sent into pipelines that go to cushing OK, or put on UNIT trains to go were needed. 4 transload stations have been built in WY over the past year.

Want to see a map of them,

There are pipelines criss crossing the US... Plains All American Pipelines has 19k miles of pipeline. . Enlink midstream has over 8k. .ConocoPhillips has thousands of miles.... It's not like this next one is the only one.

O but the keystone is being made out of paper, which is renewable and required by the latest EPA mandates, which are now called girldates. One wildfire and it all burns down.
