Got a parking Citation

Alright ladies and gents, and all you gear jamming mothers and brothers. I recieved a parking citation in Georgetown, TX, parked in a small parking lot out behind my brother's apartment for a 34 hour restart where I could spend some time with my brother and his fiance and sleep in a real bed. It's not a business parking lot, and there have been other trucks, semis, box vans, and hot shot type trucks that have parked there in the past and I have parked there multiple times in the past without any issue. But on Valentine's day I received a citation for parking a commercial vehicle in a residential area. There are no signs saying no truck parking or any signs stating that due to any city ordinance that parking of any type of vehicle is prohibited. I have pictures showing that there are no signs. And there's no signs between the ih35 exit and that spot saying no trucks allowed (if that means anything). The fine is $167.00. My question is would it gee worth trying to fight it (which if lost would get me the highest fine if I remember correctly, I haven't gotten a ticket in 4 or 5 years and that was after I got a drivers licence). Or just pay the $167.00. Driver legal plan said if they helped me reduce the fine I really wouldnt come out ahead but is there anyway out of it completely?

 

Just the simple fact they wouldn't have gotten any of my money had they had a sign telling me I wasn't allowed to park there in the first place. Wasn't trying to anger you G.Anthony.

 

And it really doesn't make it any easier to swallow when my truck broke down the same day I came off my 34. But you didn't know that and it really doesn't pertain to the situation.
