CA. Fix-it-ticket Q.??

I had to laugh when I read your post. I saw the same thing happen down in a small boarder town in AZ. The local police set up an inspection stop and had alot of trucks in there. I pulled in with a gasoline tanker and I could see them running around trying to figure out what to do. The officer started to do his thing and I knew right away he didn't have a clue what to do. I showed him the little green book and he said that was great where did you get that! About the same time a driver from a large company came over to me and asked if I had a tail light because he was not allowed to move until he fixed the light. I said sure, that will be $100. He was reaching for his wallet when I laughed and just gave it to him. I gave the officer my FMCSR pocketbook too. But what a joke. It was funny when I was leaving I could see a few officers huddled around that officer checking out the little green book!!!

 

I went tru the same thing CHP inspector pulled me over wrote me up for 6 things had to park my truck a 2500 Dodge pul'n a 23 box trailer before it could be moved I needed to extend my mirrors out for the 200 feet behind me rule.
Bought some clamp ons and off I went but blew off the rest.
Three years went by found the ticket took it to the local CHP office the guy looked at the date and tru it in the trash it had gone past it's limit.
Never had a prob with registration for the 3 years.
Best thing might be to call them also look at the time needs to be 3 plus years also never showed up on my H6 for my lic.
