when I built my glider, the explanation I was given from a very knowledgable man who builds a new glider every two weeks... was that the ACERT ecm computes the oil temp for the gauge in the dash. There is a way to add the input from the old style sender, though I haven't done it yet. I found it on Google relatively easily.

New here so.... I can't post my own question yet! Found this clip in my 06 kw acert c15 anyone know where it's from?
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Looks like an injector plug clip
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Is it shut down serious?
-
At worst the harness will come out of the injector.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
It's a clip from the VVA or Jake solenoids. Did it come out of the drain plug?
It's not life threatening... one VVA or Jake solenoid might be unplugged.
I'd just pop the covers when you get a chance and make sure they're all there. Those connectors get kind of brittle after a while and can crumble, allowing the clips to fall off. -
The injector connectors are held on with two nuts and a flat plate connector.
-
Yes I found it on the magnet in the end of the drain plug when I changed the oil today.Oxbow Thanks this.

If your connectors are missing the clip or broken, CAT sells just the connectors stubs that you can splice into the old harness. Saves on having to replace the whole harness under the covers.
