Not nice to be rubbing it in.....especially when all of the rest of us are suffering from sunshine deprivation!
I thought I had the first glimpse of spring this morning. I was standing at the kitchen window enjoying my coffee and saw dozens of robins in the trees outside. Can spring be far away when the robins have already returned? .....Then I went outside and the dirty birds had "bombed" my jeep!.....I took that as a sign ....and sure enough more rotten winter weather is in the forecast for this weekend.![]()

I can handle snow. The temp dropped so fast road iced over, trucks in front of me slowed down so much. I got stuck on uphill. Had to chain to get going again. Was stuck in right lane for a minute. Cop said it got cold very fast state didn't get salt out fast enough. Could barely walk on the road so chaining was a fun experience.
Stopped in Rock Springs for the night. Will have to roll hardcore tomorrow but still good for OTD. F todaygntorres61, jungHo and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
George is suffering from confused circadian cycle due to early morning drops. He's stopped for the night at a 10 truck TS in South Hill, VA, so he's close to his 2nd stop, Henderson, NC, if I recall correctly, 4:45 a.m. Then on to Durham about 9 am and heading home, as long as weather conditions permit. The triangle area of NC is expected to get around 9" of snow tonight.
George's dad is waiting to hear the results of the stress test done while he wss in the hospital, and perhaps a visit to his cardiologist to determine whether he can withstand surgery to have a defibrillator or pacemaker put in. In his words, he has "to be good!" His dad has been going to the YMCA and senior center almost daily and doing Zumba! That is some tough stuff! Like, going for the burn, baby!
Thanks for asking about him, HTQ. He's hanging in there for now.

HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
What's up with the thread? I posted a blog about George's status and how his dad is doing. When I sent it, I got a message that a moderator has to approve it. I didn't use bad language. Random?

He is Queenie, he's back home. I think they are going to install a defibrillator so he can resume zumba activities with his lady friends at the Y. That's my dad!HometimeQueen Thanks this.

I'll share some of the sunshine down here, take as much as you would like, I would not mind it staying a little colder for a little while longer here cause it sure beats having to run the AC in the house.jungHo and HometimeQueen Thank this.

I would take your sunshine in a heartbeat, SRQGhost......and then this summer I will complain about the heat!
For us, it is the heating bills during the winter that are so high.
