At the peel other in council bluffs for the night....14 clock just went way to fast when your sitting waiting to be unloaded and a a load reworked

 

Heard our queens new theme song on the radio today. It's called "Old Folks Boogie" by Little Feat. Come to think of it, probably go good for cranky also. Lol

 

I'm in Fairfield, Maine for the night. Picked up rolls of paper going to Minnesota. I'm so sick of snow!

Some odd goings on in the state of Missouri today.....the State Auditor was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Apparently they believe it was suicide......but there are many many in this state that don't believe that. He was a really good man and had a history of going after corruption. He did an audit of the school system here at the request of many local parents. He was thorough and professional and left no stone unturned. When he was finished he presented his findings to the community in a town meeting. He found thousands of taxpayer dollars in undisclosed bank accounts and several thousand dollars being kept in broom closets in the school office.....and most importantly he found that children were being cheated out of school lunches. Their money was being taken, then there would be no record of it and the child would go hungry.
He was also going after cities with traffic light cameras in the state. His findings showed that the citations that were being issued had little to do with safety concerns or public welfare and had everything to do with generating revenue for these cities.
Less than a month ago he announced that he was entering the governor's race. Campaign donations were pouring in. Last November he was re-elected as State Auditor with 73% of the vote.
Everyone is in shock that he would commit suicide. I know my first thought was "No way".

 

Made it home to Plymouth before noon. Started the day in South Hill VA at 0230, got to Henderson at 0345 an hour early. Slow ride in the snowstorm. Finished at 0545 and took two more hours to my final in Durham. Still, 75 minutes early. Roads were a mess, but road crews were out. When I finished in Durham, roads were cleared up and did full speed to the house. Great that the unloading crews were on their mark getting me unload quickly. Kept me running early all morning. Will head back out Sunday to pickup IV bottles at Baxter going to Overland Park Kansas. I imagine I will get back in my own truck finally with the rest of my stuff and my satellite radio!!

 

I am finally in nice weather. In the Lake Tahoe area. So nice and beautiful.
Got another inspection today. My 3rd since July. Supposedly that scale is not open very often, just my luck.

Looks like a Monday for sure. Am at a place I've been to several times before and they are usually quick, as in a full load in an hour. Was told when I checked in that they were having confuser problems and that it would take awhile. Have a feeling that I will be late for the 2nd drop. I'm south of Boston now and have to go to the north side next. Oh joy.
