The ecm power supply goes directly to the battery bank. Normally it is mounted into one of the short jumper cables & it's fused. If there's anything that seems wrong or corroded with either the + or - ecm terminals or power supply cables the ecm will misbehave.

I will check that tomorrow, thanks for all the suggestions guys. How can I possibly have 3 Actuators not working and not be throwing an engine code? I think I gotta figure that out first.

If it is esm power related it could have odd behavior. Like, it only acts up when turning left, or on rough terrain, something hard to reproduce.

Yah ill check that first then to eliminate. I hate going to Cat all they do is throw parts at it and never fix anything. Ends up costing a fortune every time I step in there.

Having worked for CAT here's my .02¢. It sounds like you have harness issues. Oil wicking through the wires and pooling in the connectors is "normal" and not really an issue. But like others have mentioned you likely have some wires exposed and possibly shorting or broken. Testing the wires with an Ohm meter does you no good because 1 strand of wire will give you a "false positive". The best way to test is send power through one end of the wire and use a load on the other, such as a headlight, and make sure the wire will carry a load.

    Lucar Thanks this.

Typically a CAT ecm will not fail in a way to cause IVA issues. They generally start logging injector current faults for all 6 cylinders occuring at the same time. The injector circuit is the highest load and duty cycle therefore generally the first to fail.
