When you become a trucker you pretty much is already label a 2nd class citizen

 

Call some companies and ask before submitting an application.

Maybe trainers could pay for a psych evaluation to get a 'not a creep' certification.

 

Prime had a class action lawsuit for this very issue in 2011. There is another one which i believe is still ongoing at this time. Prime says they created the rule to protect female applicants. However, the lawsuit is for sex discrimination. Some women could be required to be on the waiting list of up to a year or more. Prime was also accused of deleting female names off the waiting list and a bunch of other stuff, You can read the story here. Might be a good idea to check into this so you know what your getting into, it might change your mind about how well you like them.

Do tons and tons of research, it will increase your odds of lasting beyond 90 days.

 

If you have the funds to wait it out,good for you. Some other companies will have you in class by Monday morning and on the road as soon as classroom/local training is over in 3 weeks. That's your call though; at least now you're aware of what's ahead for you.

 

Prime rescinded that policy sometime last year.

I just came from prime orientation. I was in class with two females, both of which went out with a male trainer. It's your choice, there's a paper you fill out as to your preference. I keep in touch with one of them and she hasn't had any problems.
