From now on Panhandle is not allowed within a 50 mile radius of the King. I need a tracking device for him ....he drives the northeast, what was he doing in Kentucky????
The state of Kentucky has absolutely the worst information system for their highways. They are negligent in their failure to keep their phone system and road condition sites updated. Had they updated everything they would have had far fewer problems. But of course, the truck drivers are being blamed for all of it. I am afraid I caused a firestorm by even hinting that if they had updated their road conditions map and their phone system a lot of the problems would have been avoided. Panhandle, did you see any barricades on I 24? Some of these Kentuckians are saying that the highways were closed and that truck drivers removed the barricades.![]()

I did write to the state 511 system and ask why it wasn't updated and this is their reply - According to them in large scale emergency situations they don't know because the information isn't passed on to them!

Thank you for contacting us with your concern.
The 511 system is an information reporting system that depends on input from several players. During large scale emergencies like these winter events, the information is not always passed along to us.
We do enter and update any information we get into 511 as it relates to Interstates and Parkways. However, 511 does not report local roads or conditions.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. -

Hello everyone, unfortunately the queen is right... I came off my hometime and my father got sick and went in the hospital. so I took the truck back to olathe and told them I needed some time off for a family emergency. after I deliverd my load I flew back home. he was just released on yesterday. While I was home I got offered a job at my previous job I had before I started school... they hired me as a relief driver and when im not driving I will be working 1st shift in the warehouse from 7:30a to 4pm. hourly wage, 100% paid health and dental insurance after 90 days, and they gave me back the vacation time I accumulated before I left back in October.
