Read the whole post. Pay for mine then, and the service. This is a joke, with nothing to do with saftey. Most trucks i see wrecked have a Qualcomm on them. Explain that. 2-3 Billion dollar hit to this industrie with nothing to do with rates or saftey is just what we need. Think about it. I had dispatch cheat more for me with a qualcomm then i would think about with a paper log. I never had DOT check my Qualcomm, paper log all the time. So i have more reason not to cheat without one. What, get one to make LEO's more lazy, and do less work for my tax money, please....

TAZZ why do you constantly BASH OOIDA?

Is it the same reason you like the EOBR THING? You think everything should be FAIR? I bet its because your a COMPANY DRIVER and it just makes you angry that AN OWNER OPERATOR can do things you can't!

That is the impression I get, EVERYTHING should be the SAME for EVERY DRIVER.

IF YOU HEAR DRIVERS SAY ALL THE TIME...."IM ON ELOGS AND THEY NEVER CHECK ME" HOW IS THAT SAFE?

So guys like you think the rest of us CHEAT every chance we get BUT people with ELOGS are NOT being MONITORED! THIS IS MORE SAFE?!?!?!?!? lol

When i signed up with you drove they sent me a sticker that says ELECTRONIC LOGS for the side of my truck, since people are not having their log books inspected how long before guys just get the stickers and act like they are running them!

That is how you come across though "those darn o/o don't have to do it! Its not fair! Make them play right! They have a GANG CALLED OOIDA, bunch of big thug dummies"

OOIDA has help many driver prepare for audits, with basic info about trucking, settle disputes over lost wages', with insurance.....WHAT IS SO WRONG WITH ALL THIS?!?!?

Son you can keep banging that drum. I have no problem with any driver who is safe and compliant.

My problem with OOIDA and the reason I revoked my membership is their duplicitus actions, their outright lying to members, and the fact they suck on the governments breast while their leader's namely Spencer and Rykovich decry government waste. Don't believe me ask them. Walk in the front door of Grain Valley and ask the whom is paying for their SMS alert system. Ask them what Spencer's and Rykovich's compensation is for serving on those committee's.

Tell me why they hired a Senate Staffer whose specialty is the" The War on Drugs" and Methamphetamine legislation when he was fired b the People of the State of Pennsylvania.

Ask them why they will stump against campaign contributions but regularly donate toone specific Representative from Oregon.

My dislike of that organization stems from all of those facts. And the fact NASTC does a better job of helping truckers run a business. The fact they will sell truckers insurance that I have heard is not worth the paper the policy is printed on. That Opie Taylor has done more in the last two years for drivers than OOIDA has in almost three and a half decades.

Do yourself a favor. Anything they post or talk about on that insipid radio show verify somewhere else. They will flat lie.

Their great lumper case they won. Uhm no they lost.
Complaining advocacy groups filed lawsuits about the HOS change. Yeah they were one of them.
Ending EOBR's? Nope the ruling specifically was about forcing egregious violators of HOS being forcd on them not disallowing them.
Mn big win? No not so much just some training for officers, though I will concede some enlightening knowledge about the Mn State Legislature.
Working towards using road taxes and use fee's for Highways? Nope! They have advocated three different studies be taken from those funds. Studies mind you that Congress nor the FMCSA have any business getting involved in. I guess government interference is OK if it benefits them.

I know you think I have some chip on my shoulder about O/O's. You need me to do that because you can not dispute with any logic the fact of how our roads are run.

    Now this is funny!

    Typical Tazz logic:

If it looks like an orange, smells like and orange, and tastes like and orange... it's most definitely a Rutabaga.

When the scalemaster enters you companies DOT number into their computer, it will show that the company is on elogs, if that is the case.

The company registars this fact with the DOT so that the officers will know at a glance.

I believe that the elog company helps the trucking company to do this when they subscribe.

Tanker he has no clue that states are checking elogs simply because people are commiting fraud with those stickes. Saw an old Palmantere(Lady said they were sold??) Getting a ten hour break when she couldn't show the scalemaster in KY how she was doing it.

I have had mine looked at in KY,TN, PA,VA, AL. Now as soon as I ask do you want graph or line by line they usually just say OK, though KY asked to see my summaryKfor those without elogs a page that lists remaining 11-14-70 hours in graph and numerical form)instead.Had Al ask me to demonstrate use so I added an inspection comment to saisfy them.

Now in fairness I have had LEO's ask" Elogs?" And drop it once I say yes without checking. It will not really matter soon as they will be required and the stickers will go away.

E logs? A tool for the goverment to control us hard working truck drivers? I don't think so. It's a tool for the companies we work for to keep us under their thumb. Back in the old days there would be entire rooms of people who just audited our logs now it's done with a unic and a computer. I've never used E logs I never will use E logs and I'm amazed to see lots of drivers like them. I have never fallen off the road, hit a Cuban rock stars bus at a toll plaza or low bridged a customers expensive excavator so I guess I'm doing it right. You can fight about laws and the reason for the laws but there's no good reason for it other then we are fools for being weak and doing things the way the big mega carriers have forced us to do our jobs. I'm not doing it. I own a 379 I use loose leaf logs and I routinely go around scale. Who says the outlaws are all gone ?

Literally nobody says all the outlaws are gone. You couldn't get half way through that sentence before someone would have to tell you how much of an outlaw they are.

I miss the old days. Run hard make some cash have a lot of fun. Nowadays? The cash is hard to make most of the funs gone and we are regulated to death. 9 more years and I will have driven a truck for 50 years. Most days I loved the job but now when I look at my industry I want to park my truck and just go home. Just an old mans ######## I guess.
