Normally, I'd agree. But in this case it seems time may not have changed its relativity or company 'methods'.
Even the post from 8 yrs ago also seems to run par with unknown_substance's (supposed dispatcher w/ McLeod) post from 2 days ago, especially the attitude towards drivers.
One example, (yet there's more):
2 days ago, unknown_substance posted "we're always getting about 20 new guys in every week so if they don't want to play ball then it doesn't really matter to us."
8 years ago, that link reads: "they are trying to bring in 20 new drivers each week. I heard one of the staff telling the hotel clerk to go ahead and maintain the reservations of 20 rooms per week until the end of the year."
Plus, pretty much the exact same number of trucks in operation: Approx 350
EDIT: Changed 5 yrs to 8 years. Post in my quoted section was from EIGHT years ago. Makes it even more 'interesting'.
What does experienced driver mean?!

I think it takes 2-3 good years to be considered experienced.
There are just too many places, conditions, and scenarios that a driver needs to encounter over time to be considered experienced.
A curious driver never stops learning new things, even after 20 or so years. There is always a wrinkle out there some wheres.Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -
Aw schucks, that thread's been through five winters. That's gotta count for experience, don't you think?
DenaliDad, Cranky Yankee and joseph1135 Thank this. -
Hes a recruiter, professor, clueless, idiot, mechanic an genius from previous posting. The same guy that recommended a driver to mess up someone's dac report intentionally. I will never forget that postKW Cajun Thanks this.

What I suggested about the DAC is pretty common with small fleet owners who cant afford to lose drivers.

I'm still trying to grasp the fact that McLeod is pronounced McCloud,joseph1135, 77smartin and Dark_Majesty_06 Thank this.

Do you really want to play that game? I mean we are drivers, easy to hide. You're a dispatcher for not that big of a company. If you start suggesting people mess up others careers can you not see how easily it can be done to you? I wouldn't go down that path. Leave the internet stuff on the net.truckerlife74, joseph1135, Joetro and 1 other person Thank this.

Thanks for the tip........

Have you ever thought about passing the idea along to the owner about running a better company so your small co. becomes medium sized, then large and more profitable? Those complaints from 8 years ago, almost a decade ago and you're still plagued with the same deficiencies in your operations. Horrible dispatchers and horrible working environment yet you want to attack the drivers future employment with a better company because yours is no good? very ###### up logic my friend and I am guessing these DAC reports are falsified as well just to be petty and vindictive? I hope your current drivers wise up and sue you and the company for fraudulent behaviour. Maybe that will be the kick in the pants your company needs to start steering that ship in the right direction or go out of business, no one will care, there's many other properly ran companies out there ran by real business owners.

I thought I was experienced after the 1st year.
After the 2nd year I looked back and realized how inexperienced I was after the 1st.
After the third I looked back at the 2nd year...KW Cajun, Tonythetruckerdude and UKJ Thank this.
