Yeah, you'd probably have the cops show up, taze and beat you. Then turn you over to homeland security for questioning as a terrorist. After which, you'll be shipped to Guantanimo to spend some time in a room hooked up to electrodes listening to Cannibal Corpses "Hammer Smashed Face" EP for a week straight.

Etiquette at the guard shack when there's others ahead of you is pretty straight forward. No different than getting in line at the grocery store check out.

I agree the guy behind the OP was just a jerk. If he had a reason to go around, like he worked for that warehouse and was just dropping an empty or something, then he could have gotten out of his truck and walked over to have a friendly conversation with the guard and the other drivers. I think more likely he was a super trucker who thinks that the world should revolve around him. Unfortunately these guys are out there. If they're running late for a pick up, they think everyone should just get out of their way, and get mad at stuff like warehouses workers taking a 10 minute break or other drivers sliding their tandems.
Stryker, there is etiquette among professional drivers - in my opinion the rule of thumb in any situation should be that drivers are generally polite to each other and try to behave so things are safe and pleasant for everyone. I feel like we need to keep an eye out for each other, everything is smoother that way. I've been helped out many times in my career, and even a moment where another driver does a small thing like let me pull out of a driveway before he turns in makes the day a little nicer. I was dropping off a few pallets at a first come - first serve warehouse with a tight loading dock the other day, and a truck pulled out of the first door, which was the easiest to back into. I was rolling up to back into it, and just then another truck pulled out from between too long trucks, and there was a container dropped in front of one of them. I looked over and saw that the next guy in line had an extended cab with a sleeper, and a 53'. No way he'd get in the tighter spot. I have a day cab and a 48'. I waited a few extra seconds for the second truck to leave, pulled ahead and squeezed into the tighter spot. Took an extra minute or so in my day, but saved the road driver maybe an hour waiting for another truck to pull out, and he thanked me while we were signing bills. I'm not trying to look good, it's just little stuff like that helps everyone's day go by a little easier and makes trucking an enjoyable job most days.

A week or two ago, I had an impatient guy wait for the dock I was in. When i was getting loaded, he sat there nice and quiet. I didn't know that he was waiting for the door but I had my suspicions that he was.

The light turns green and the dock guy comes out with the paper work. Because of this place, there was no place to pull out of the way once loaded, otherwise I would have. So I quickly as I could do my loaded call on the computer. Mr. Impatient didn't like that and starts to rev his engine and creeps his truck forward much like how cars on the racing line do.

Then I jump out the truck, hook my air lines and release my tandems pin (they were locked in the rear most position). Oh, he didn't like that. Rev rev rev.

I pull forward, release the air from the trailer brakes to slide the tandems, move back to slide them, then jump out again kick the pin handle, and shut the doors. Wouldn't you know it, the friggin doors don't quite line up I can only shut two of the four latches (one on each door) because the ground is uneven. Rev rev rev. Well, instead of being a jerk and getting my hammer to close them latches, I opted to drive down the road a few miles and close them properly then. With the two latches secures, I am confident those doors ain't going anywhere.

I pull up to the street immediately in front of the docks and Mr. Impatient whips his day cab around behind me and had a dog of a time backing it it. I chuckled.
