I know you said that but that doesn't account for the first few weeks you hold back their checks. You need to put yourself in the drivers shoes.Do you have any idea what it cost drivers to live on the road compared to home every day?Drivers you hire probably are low on funds to begin with then have to wait what 3 weeks for their first pay check????? That just plain wrong. What about orientation who pays for that?Do you pay for the hotel or take it out of the drivers check?
Are we a bad trucking company?

No, we cover the hotel and never take it out of anyone's check - ever.
....if you read my previous post it asked for people to be upfront and answer under what circumstances they were hired, how are they getting paid, what sort of benefits are their companies providing and I haven't seen any responses.....
is everyone afraid of answering this?AfterShock Thanks this. -
I make .46 CPM, have benefits, a 401k, and operate 2015 equipment. Am I spoiled? Yep, and I EARNED IT by being a top shelf driver...TruckDuo, AfterShock, UKJ and 1 other person Thank this.

Dont know why it would cost more in less your buying everything at travel centers. And there is no reason for that.spyder7723 Thanks this. -
I've never heard of a company driver being asked to have an escrow account. Is this even legal?

My wife and I started out making 44 cpm as a team then got on a dedicated account making 50 cpm. Company health insurance and dental(very good), 401k,etc. New truck every year, E-Logs, everything fixed right away. In return they got a team with a perfect safety record, runs hard, goes wherever and gets the loads to their destination on time. It wasn't easy but it wasn't hard either. Got paid every Friday, no escrow account and no bad CSA score.
Beyond Transport, is the owner your father ?
Are you an ex-driver ?

Currently paid $17.00/hr as a local driver/office assistant. When I was a regional driver, I got paid 27% of freight rate. Health insurance, life insurance. Hired on with 6 months prior flatbed experience, 16 years (roughly) of OTR driving experience. Paid through direct deposit every Thursday like clockwork, zero checks withheld (received my first paycheck on Thursday during orientation).UKJ Thanks this. -
Do you tell the ppl over the phone what benefits you offer, how you pay ect ect or do they find all this out during orientation?Problem with most companies/recruiters is they aren't upfront with the drivers like they should be and a lot of things aren't listed on their website they don't tell the drivers all the many strings attached.Thats the problem with you employers you're not upfront before you even bring the drivers in.They find out the hard way and one of a million reasons why the high turnover rate. You need to change your policies .Far as ppl not answering your questions about how they get paid, other companies pay every week and don't hold back any checks. But they do have to send in their paper work either by transflo or trip pack and have a cut off date. But no companies hold back checks.Like I said,be upfront with the ppl before hiring them or are you afraid like many companies, you won't get any drivers then?

Has Beyond Transport thought about using Transflo so they can get the bills from the driver faster ?
