That's why I don't cross that scale.

A lot of places here on the East coast, the DOT starts inspection around 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-
Beloit WI scale was open and pulling in trucks at 4 am this morning, stayed open till about 10.
Noticed that Wisconsin been opening at odd hours lately. -
Exactly! And when I pass that scale in the middle of day they close every time.
-
Every once in a while, I'll be walking across the parking lot and I'll see a truck with a paper glued to the passenger side of the windshield. I don't get close enough to read it, but is that something the DOT did?
-
Yes.
One of the drivers at the company I work here went inside to get something to eat a truck stop in KY.... their truck got D.O.T'd without their presence Lol. I think it was like a "LEVEL 5" or something. So weird.
"Level V inspections look at everything specified under Level I."
The only difference is that they are executed without the driver present.
-
Beloit scale was open at 4 pm yesterday, I got weighed and sent on my way.
-
That scale is ruthless.
