Why would it be immigrant to haul cereal in a dry van? If it's because it's a food then so are the dry goods in cans and water and soda and so on.........Been doing this 18 years in July and this thread is the first time I've evere heard it was immigrant to haul cereal in a dry van.
Guess since it's on the internet it has to be true ! I learned something new today...........................LOLDogals right foot and Drifter42 Thank this. -
Now that it's cereal that's a different story. His op didn't say cereal it says refer plant and set unit at 50℉ big differenceTennMan Thanks this.

Dry cereal can be carried in a non temp controlled trailer any time.
Unless specified by the shipper or it has a melting point where it can ruin the product.
Processed foods are pretty lax on the rules.
When hauling ingredients it's a different story.TennMan Thanks this. -
now y'all have me confused I read it on here (the internet ) that it was immigrant so is it or isn't it? LOL I know it's shipper dependent and not immigrant but may be against the shipper's policy...........
I was trying to be funny but guess I failed LOL -
If it non refer load u can ran it I'n what ever you want. I was under the impression that the load requires A refer! Which cereal does not.
TennMan Thanks this. -
So I'll be back in Chicago monday morning and I booked a load going about 100 miles north for $500. It's a live load/unload but whatever it's worth it.
This is the reason why % and picking your own loads is awesome.
A Celadon flease driver would have to drive 600 miles to earn the same revenue after fuel costs as I am but I'll only be driving maybe 2.5 hours tops.
The many old trailers, lack of organization and not enough people to answer the phones at Schneider does piss me off sometimes but when I stop and realize my lifestyle, what I'm doing and earning it's freaking all worth man. -
