Okay old timers, what are some longest loads you've run non-stop, back before all this regulation :biggrin_25522:. A load that the only times the left door opened was to wet a tire real quick. No stops for eating or fuel. Most of mine were back before 55mph was lifted.
    Mine are
Atlanta to Havre de Grace, Md--713 miles
Cantonment, FL to Carol Stream (Chicagoland), IL--921 miles
Laredo, TX to Shalimar, FL--933 miles (leaving Laredo at 0400 12/24 going home for X-Mas)
Atlanta to Dallas--792 miles we used to do this one regularly, sometimes in company convoys of up to 6 trucks. That made it fun, probably shouldnt count this one :biggrin_2559:
Hilliard OH to Shalimar, FL--823 miles I did this regularly also, my load going home, lighter than 20,000lbs
Mine are'nt amazing but you gotta admit I did ride for a long time non-stop. :biggrin_25525:

You've just invited the "hall monitors" of TTR to come point their fingers and blame ya for all of today's regulations.

they probably should ! It's a really dumb thing to do, I don't like to go over 500 miles now. But it also goes to show we aren't all the same, when I was younger I had a stupid talent of being able to sit on my butt and stay awake a long time. yet the same regulations apply to a 22 yr old full of p#55 and vinegar, and an old worn out has been like me. How does that make sense ?

    Well,

Drove from Chicago, IL to Dallas, TX then attempted to straight shot it back to Chicago but ended up pulling into a fuel station in Arkansas. The rest was history.

Dont plan to do that ever again.
Now a round tripper of about 500 miles and I start complaining its a long day! :biggrin_25523:

Apples out of Washington state to Chicago water front markets, Drop hook a load of paper out of Menausha, WI start peddle run at Salem,OR on up I-5 to Surrey, BC, reload apples in Wenatchee/Yakima spend Saturday home (Spokane) with family, and hit the road late Sat night.
Approximately 5200 miles a week, there was 5 of us, and they called us "Outlaws-R-Us". Did that for 3 yrs till a sub driver hit a moose and totalled my truck.
Longest straight shot was probably Spokane,WA to Steele,ND 1050 miles.

Sometimes I miss it, but was hard on the family life!
