My husband has a 2000 Kenworth W900L. The AC is barely blowing on high through the vents. He has cleaned the evaporator coil out and it hasnt helped. Any suggestions are welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!

is the cover on the a/c heater box out on the fire wall (under the hood) rusted to the point where you see holes in it? duct tape will fix the holes temporarily. is the fan motor original it maybe getting weak. or the vent hose or hoses under dash may have a tear or fell off.Farmboysdream Thanks this.

He said that the a/c heater box does have some holes. He will try the duct tape. We dont know about the fan motor. He just bought it in December. He can hear the blower. He will also check the hoses. Thanks so much superhauler!!

if you can find it use gorilla duct tape. it is almost impossible to pull off once it sticks. even though the fan is running it may be weak there is a rheostat that is hidden under the dash on the far right by the door that may be going bad. that will effect the power going to the fan motor. it looks like a little spring about 1 inch long and about 3/16 round on a square block that a plug fits onto it.Mortors and Farmboysdream Thank this.

He wants to know where the directional flap is. Also there is another flap located behind the blower motor that is rubber. What does that do?
-
Gorilla tape is all he uses!! lol

reread my last post I added some more info. that rubber flap opens and closes with the wind from the fan motor. if there is a lot of damage inside a new heater a/c box maybe in the cards. about $1000 to buy.

He said there are a few small holes in the box. He has put a new resister in it. It works on all three speeds.

+Look for another ele. part near blower motor, has a curly steel coil showing, replace fan blower motor after ck. for fan switch power at all positions?

duct tape around the edges of the cover also to seal it well. you would be amazed how much of a difference it makes when you seal it up.
