Traffic can be a beeetch in that area. My last trip on that road was one word: Kaos. Never again unless I am getting paid. Trucks trying to get in when people refuse to let them in from the shoulder. Not my cup of tea.

That's pretty much all I run. I-95 from NC to ME. It took me 5 hours to go 6 miles yesterday on the cross bronx.
-
heavy traffic for sure, 1-2am there is still alot of vehicles out and about, above and though richmond can be murder...3 lanes and still jam packed during the day
-
I don't know what all of the fuss is. I make my entire living on I-95 from Baltimore to Boston. You learn to be patient when forced to travel at rush hour.
-
I've been driving up and down I-95 since I was a teenager and I'll give you a few reasons to avoid it if possible.
DC Traffic
Baltimore Traffic
Newark, DE Traffic
Wilmington Traffic
Philly Traffic
Newark, NJ Traffic
NYC Traffic
Any one of these metropolitan areas are capable of 6 hour backups. Sometimes you sit 3-4 hrs to go 20 miles then you drive an hour and then sit in another 3 hr back up. Don't ever get on I-95 in these areas with a full bladder or a low fuel guage. And you can kiss any idling bonus goodbye. -
Having lived along the I-95 corridor all of my life it has grown/changed and the worst part is around DC during rush hour coming in/out
I would rather drive in NYC than there during rush hours.
TOOOOOOOOO many people living outside of DC and working there...... -
i dont know i think NYC is worse than DC, but that aint sayin much, DC is a huge pain in butt
-
I grew up in Pa. family from Va. ranthis corridor every couple of weeks have family living less than 90 miles from perimeter.........
They leave 3-4 before they have to be to ork at 9 am to be on time.....
Have been in rush hour taffic in south side during rush hour even with HOV lanes if 1 person in car take a news paper...........
-
Tolls, lack of services and parking are my main deal on 95.
Traffic has been light recently. I have to assume it is due to gas prices. If that's the case, I can hardly wait for $6 a gallon gas.
Traffic is worse SOUTH of the VA/MD border in my opinion. Nothing like granny in the hammer lanes...and slow lanes. Nothing like a pinhead on a crotch rocket causing chaos and confusion.
