That is an odd coincidence that it was a white flatbedder parked beside you also ....isn't it? I can't tell one truck from another for the most part.....I know, shame on me
.....but the guy in the video says it was a Mack, I'm assuming that he knew.
passport220 Thanks this. -
Macks have a bulldog hood ornament. pretty easy to spot.
sad reality about this job is some of the biggest lowlifes you have to watch out for are your fellow truckers.
HometimeQueen, passport220, jaso37 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sounds to me that if the driver observed this idiot doing that then pulling the pin should have been calling the cops. Pulling the pin alone is causing a saftey issue if the area had to be evacuated quickly.
And assuming the driver did do a pre trip after his break was up and finding that.passport220 and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
The driver that had the dashcam was in the sleeper berth, he heard the noise when the trailer came unhooked. He went out to check on the other driver. After speaking with him, he realized that his dashcam was on, facing the other truck and they reviewed the video and realized what had happened. They did catch the driver of the white flatbed yesterday.passport220 Thanks this.

I ran across this article about truck fires ....a topic that we have discussed several times. I thought some of you might find it informative. (I would copy the article for you, but I get in trouble with the powers that be when I do that
)

no excuse for losing your trailer. yeah the driver pulling the pin is an arse, but you as a driver should be checking your equipment. that's one thing my trainer was big on. always check it whenver you stop. doesn't take but a few seconds to shine a light up in there to make sure it's good.

In Laramie, Wy. moving the cheese around this country.
I've heard of some pretty sketchy stuff being done out here. Here is one you may have heard of - putting a quarter in your glad hand connection. Crazy that a driver would ever risk lives of other people but it takes all kinds, I guessHometimeQueen and passport220 Thank this. -

Sorry I haven't been around. I've been at the yard in East Dubuque since yesterday morning.. been having a good time over here. I got a reset in and have been hanging out with a good friend. Got a new phone yesterday and have been playing with that. Earlier this evening I went out to dinner with my friend and two other drivers. Right now about to head out to pick up a load in Monmouth and deliver it in Lincoln. Then reload in Omaha and headed to Greencastle PA for Monday morning.
