That's what I heard also, but someone posted earlier about a possibility of detergent oils washing it off. I just mentioned the "washing off" since it had been brought up before. Even if it did or could wash off, that wouldn't explain how the Microblue went missing on the back side of the bearings. Now I'm interested to know if the cam bearings are stock or actually have the Microblue shown in the picture.

LOL Craftsman, good eye!!!

Really? It tells me that the mechanic chose to not spend two months of paychecks on a tool cabinet. Might indicate a better decision maker than the one with a row of Snap-on cabinets.

69 pages and it comes down to the tool box. Priceless.

now that's really funny. Don't worry people there's Rutherfrauds everywhere, check this story out, my mother passed away this past thanksgiving she paid in to much for the funeral by almost 2k so when I got all the receipts it read you have a refund coming to you. Low and behold I got the check in the syndrome played on me. I'm 1200 miles away so they know that I'm not going to do anything about it for 2k. My travel and attorney fees would eat up that cash quick. Even in death you still get ripped off.rank Thanks this.

tungsten disulfide does have some unique properties in that it bonds to steel and other materials, but not to itself, so it naturally forms an extremely thin coating. But even this company says recoating is not needed more than once per year. Well here, you can read about it as well as I can... http://www.microsurfacecorp.com/ws2_tungsten_disulfide.php
It is also being offered as an oil additive, which could potentially have all the benefits of a microblue job without the inherent costs of engine teardown; as well as the ability to recoat regularly. http://www.nanolub.com.sg/

The outfit that does the coating has a proprietary process that bonds it into the crystal. Microsurface Corp isn't privy to what that PROPRIETARY process is. Sometimes I worry about you guys...

There is also an issue of dirt between the connecting rod and bearing. Such is not the work of a true professional or a good decision maker.RedForeman, truckon, Hammer166 and 1 other person Thank this.

they have several patents, it's basically sandblasting and vibratory tumbling with small grain blasting agents. The idea is to create the perfect size "pockets" in the metal to accept the ball shaped nano-particles of tungsten disulfide. That is, if I comprehended the articles I read. I will put a link to it in a minute, gotta find it in my history.
here ya go, comprehend away ! http://patents.justia.com/patent/7232614
