I saw right through it when the lady doc asked me about sleep. I knew what her question really meant. I think most people bust themselves with this sleep apnea deal.

Although I do like your idea to contact our state reps, we are a very small minority, and voters. I find it hard to believe that we as a group will be heard over say welfare people who out number us 100 to 1..?

Whatever the ratio is, the numbers (I think) do not support us in getting our reps to do anything.

    About Schneider 's program.

The FMCSR do allow a motor carrier to use medical standards more restrictive than FMCSA.

If you want to fight the issue you would have to file a complaint with the Eeoc under the Americas with Disabilities Act.

As Pam transport just got hit with a $497,000 fine for Ada violations they take them seriously.

    Vilhiem Thanks this.

I know the law allows, within reason, companies to be more choosy when it comes to hiring and laws. What got me was that you're told from the start that, "if you test positive you must use the machine and show compliance. It's the law."

When it comes to stuff like this, you always follow the more strict rule. In this case it's Schneider's rules and the company that does the testing. I just don't appreciate being lied to.

How sni wants to handle each case it up to them. I can fight it, but that requires resources I dont have. I feel like SNI is only playing the cya game. I just wished that they didn't lie about it.

Upon further research I found that what really happened was that SNI was looking to start a program for drivers with osa, one that included being diagnosed. They really ended up just handing the keys to PPD.

Im not sure what to make of it right now. There's too much going on to dig further. My short-term goal is to get a re-test and be cleared. ...but if there's a serious profit scam going on as I and others have mentioned elsewhere, I'd love to be involved in exposing and correcting it.

Either way, I don't like being lied to. After much thought about it, that's what bothers me the most.

Who/where do you get your studies done? How much do they cost and do you pay for it?
