Yup, that's why we are teaching our daughter young, she has her piggy bank and is being taught to manage her money now. We can only hope for the best when she gets old enough to get her first few credit cards.

    But there's a big difference between a $500-$1000 credit card and a 150k+ truck

True, but to have the collection agencies chasing you for $4,000 in credit charges or $150,000+ is still a chase and hurts the credit for a long time, till bankruptcy comes in, than it's a 10 year black mark, either way.

    Now regarding that piggy bank

Does she know how to get the money outta there?

If not, have her PM me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    lol

Nope, it's a black hole lol

If she wants something we make her save for it and then she has to do more chores to put more money in it. We're a young couple but old fashioned lol

With the truck leasing though, even though even $1 debt hurts your credit just as bad as a million dollars(which is dumb IMO) I think what will happen in regards to forcing 18 year olds into leases is like giving an 18 year old with no money a home loan for $150k house. Predatory Lending lawsuits will surround these companies if they target 18 year olds with this type of stuff.

Tell them to go to community college, they go to a driver mill. Tell them to beat the bushes, and they go to a bottomfeeder. Tell them to travel light and do your time and get out, and they lease. Tell them to turn their truck in and find a new job, and they abandon their trucks, and owe for schooling. Tell them they are stupid, and they complain to the mods. Those poor mods...

Hammer, Nail, BANG. You hit the home run for the day. With a little ambition and shaking the bushes you can get a decent job in this industry without resorting to working for this garbage outfit. If some of these drivers would do a little bit of networking and research no one would get sucked into a company like this or Swift and any of the other bottom feeders out there. Sadly some drivers spend more time on the toilet than researching companies for a good career.

    No Ambition=Low Pay.

    I did my job then?

If I can make at the very least one person smile or laugh, if only for a few seconds, my job is done.
