If you are on the fence, then stay on the fence and don't waste your time.

I understand there are many weekly deductions. All l/p programs are setup this way. It is what it is. 20 brokers is plenty to choose from. All the owner ops I know basically use two or three brokers on a regular basis. What was your main reason for turning the truck back in?

Think I am going to have to get off the fence, setup an easy chair beside the fence, and just wait until a lot more information about this starts coming in. Think I need to just stay where I at and keep socking money into savings for the day that a good deal punches me between the eyes.

If you don't mind my asking, what is it about the Eagle deal that turned you off??

So far, my main issue is not with eagle, rather still a lack of viable information. I am in a position where I wouldn't be scared to just jump in with both feet and try to swim like a duck, or drown butt pointed up in the water. However, I do like to be informed, but everything so far over the phone has been more of a sales pitch than anything else. Seems more focused on selling me a new truck rather than running the truck.

I just hoping and waiting for possibly more drivers to chime in that have tried and succeeded or tried and failed so that I can glean between the two scenarios and decide that way. I just haven't seen enough numbers flying around yet. Most importantly, celedon, the name strikes terror in me, I can't stand that outfit. Never worked for them, but they have tried recruiting me numerous times and always attempted to low ball me . The name itself makes my skin crawl.

As somebody posted earlier, they selling a dream, perhaps that's all it is. I just not sure yet. While I can afford a chance, I sorta stingy and don't like to book a flight on a doomed airplane.
I just need to wait for more positive feedback I am thinking.

Great post! That is the vibe I'm getting from these Eagle folks. They are connected to celadon yet when pressed on this issue, they ran around the subject and downplayed it when they could have just said yes, we are a division of celadon. The very attractive part of this deal is booking your own loads which gives you options.

I just finished the first day of orientation. You have to go through Celadons hiring process in order to be hired at Eagle. As far as Eagle is concerned I believed Celadon bought them last year and changed out the entire front office. First day so no concrete numbers on the process yet.

The entire orientation process so far has been entirely on the computer. Eagle recruits have to do this even though very little of it has anything to do with Eagle. Piss tests and computers. Tomorrow contracts and road tests. I Don't know much yet, butt I'll keep yall posted.
