    Not true. Their Kenworth
    Not true. Their Kenworth W-925 had 13 gears. Both Claude Akins and Frank Converse received instructions in operation and earned a chauffeur license (forerunner to a CDL) during the filming of the show. During the scenes when they were rolling, they were usually being towed. And in long shots one of the teamster crew was driving. Occasionally, in the later episodes you could see that the stars really were driving.
