Pattj is 100 % correct. I have a relative who drives a truck and his gps stopped working a few weeks back and he just shut down until he could get it working. He looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked him how come he shut down. His replay "how am I supposed to drive a truck without GPS?" He makes it sound like there is no other way.
Also out of all the places I have delivered to Walmarts have to be the easiest to find. I can't think of anywhere easier to find (maybe an airport but that is about it)
GPS jammer?

Wow, I must be an anomaly. I generally drive without my GPS. When I get lost, I like to get down right good and LOST! Nothing like the feeling of having absolutely NO idea on how to get turned around in a teeny tiny residential neighborhood...especially when I can see the destination just on the other side of the rise. Man oh man is that fun!
Or winding up on some little back country road while looking for enough space to turn around, hitting a dead end, and having to back up three or four miles.....
Or finding your destination, and seeing nothing but fence line cause you came in the wrong way and can't find a gate.... -
Gps is SOLELY meant to be used as guidance just like an atlas, Google maps etc....sometimes I wonder what these drivers would've done 25-30yrs ago....

I use GPS all the time. But I also have an atlas, some maps, smartphone apps, and call the shipper/reciever every time.... ect.
GPS is an incredible tool. If you dont have one, your really missing out on some really handy modern technology. I could drive without it...but why. Its a tool... aand I double check my route with my atlas, phone calls, my eyeballs and common sense. one doesnt replace the other. I didnt throw out my scroll saw when I got a multitool. I didnt throw out my hammer when I got a nail gun.....
There was major sunspots that affected the satelites. When one tool breaks...use your other tools. No big deal. BE a professional.....
Shut down if the gps stopped working????... lol...someone was looking for an excuse for a nap.... -
In the early days of GPS signals there was SA (selective availability). The signal was degraded for consumers, full accuracy was reserved for the military. Also I had no signal at all when I was near O'Hare airport.
Then other countries developed their own systems and our military, shortly thereafter, removed the SA.

Maybe someone put a jammer on your truck or trailer at the shipper, so they could slaughter you and steal the cargo later.
