Nope. You're right. He's not getting it. A pump down is part of the pre-trip though, and I happened to stop (after thinking about the diagnosis given and that losing air made no sense when there wasn't a tire pressure checker on this trailer.) and triple check things.

I was still losing air, managed to locate the leak and it's on the side of the air chamber, front set road side.

So no. While a pump down isn't part of the post trip, I really rather doubt that the chambers just started to leak all at once.

If I happen to be wrong, I always apologize and fix things as I'm able. I like you TennMann, so please don't assume things.

To be fair he noted the bolt likely came from the yard in the second post.

Many arent told or cant remember due to the volume of information during orientation, filling out the dvir isnt enough. We also need to fill out the mac 12 under the messaging tab. Dvir defects do not cross reference(this is what an osr stated).

Also vilhelm , what if anything did the equipment status report say? Defects pending? Oos defects? We should be able to rely on a dvir but it takes every driver reporting the issue until someone sees to its correctionsay driver A reports on dvir a defectn driver B sees that and may

    Just pending defects...

Today has been a day from sheer hell. Turns out that load was a very very very important load. The store I was delivering to had an event going on, and topping that off the CEO of jcpenny was in attendance.

Im about to go looking for the ####### that wrote Murphy's law and kick his #### teeth in.

Oh, and I got halfway there... Get a phone call, "I've got an update you're not going to like. Turn around and come on back."

...I asked if that was his cruel idea of an April fools joke. "I wished it was. Write down the mile marker you turn around at and head on back."

Murphy needs to stay hidden for the next couple months. :violent1: :smt075: :banghead:

(I said Murphy. As in Murphy's law. Not the driver that filed the dvir. I say that since their names are close.)

Ill always tell my dbl. We've got someone who comes out to the yard and fixes stuff on site. So I always let her know. Some guys just hook up and go, I've watched them do that. I just shake my head and keep doing my pretrip.

What's a pump down test? Still learning all these terms before I get my cdl. Is it important?

Go ahead. Have a little fun. :biggrin_25522:

Takes more than Murphy to get me down. At least I've got an easy load tomorrow; and I already requested that I deliver the cancelled load for Friday. So I'll do what I always do.

I still need to uhh...talk...with Murphy about his practical jokes. My dbl agreed with me; she told me where I can find some spare load securement straps and a really sturdy chair. ...I'm glad my dbl has a sense of humor.

Heh. Surprised you don't know that already. I've posted enough, but I don't think I've ever said where... I tend to keep home base a secret when online.

    Shot you a PM though.

Im so used to working holidays from my previous job. We would close down the pharmacy on major holidays, but anything else you were sure to find me there. Kinda sucked, but time and a half was time and a half. And nobody else ever wanted to work.

Before I switched I got 5 different trailers in 2 weeks with a bolt in the tire. Turns out they were redoing the roof and next to where the dumpster was , was the door yhey offloaded the returns from. Our desk guy walked out there and found a pile of them next to the tire track.
