Thanks for the reply. I found out JBS in Tolleson takes chep pallets when you drop your empty. Also, the washout next to the flying J in Tolleson will dispose of pallets for you for free with a washout. I don't remember the name of the of the place, but JCT has an account with them.

Ok, ok, O-K!!!!! Bad plan. Just call your DM. He/She, or the he-she, will know what to do. Burning them prolly wont be on its' list of options in the ole computater. Prolly for a good reason. Specially if you in da Cane Fields in the Sunshine State. Them suckers burn quick, fast and hot, hot HOT!!! Must be them sugar molecules. Who knows? If your DM don't know, then you can always do what seems like so many do.
Just chunk them out the back of the trailer a few at a time on the way to your next reload. Few here, few there. Who will notice?
NAH!! Bad plan too. Best to just call someone at JCT and get them to tell you how to shuck 'em. If that doesn't work . . . there's always the rapid oxidation in the thermo model for ya. Toastie Roastie with some marsh-i-mellers.
JUST KIDDING: Give a Hoot. Don't Pollute! Unless you have a chemical scrubber stack, straight up approved by every State, Federal and Local, Regenerative internal . . . combustion . . . chemical filtered. . . BBQ pit - just call your DM. Yeah. Best way to go on that for sure. Bon Fires are SO non-PC these days. Plus, the trashed pallets are starting to interfere with all the trashed tires to the point the Rattlers and Copperheads are fighting each other for the prime Condos. It's REALLY p!$$ing off the Spider constituency. They even formed a PAC. It's called SPATT. Spiders ProactivelyAgainst Terrible Truckdrivers. I heard about it on the . . . (shoot me now so my friends wont have to) Squirrel Wide Web . . . a little birdie told me about it . . . . it MUST be true!
OH YEAH!! C28H51O2 freakin' ROCKS!!
Sigh. No it Doesn't. Do NOT, repeat NOT mix Diesel, Coffee, Beer and Donuts. ESPECIALLY the Little Debbie mini-chocolate ones! Really, REALLY don't light up a bunch of pallets and toast the Lil Debs doin' it; DON'T do it in the Glades and . . . and most importantly . . . for GOD's Sake don't do it with the blue pallets! People are very picky about the blue ones for some reason. NO SMURF PERCH TORCHIN'!!
Gotta go guys. Some Dude looks a lot like Jackie Gleason in the BEST movie ever is headin' my way. Only he don't look all Goofy. Looks real serious. Bye for now.damonarnold816, crxdc and JackTheWhack Thank this. -
I two things happen to me today. One funny and one sucks and cost me money.
First, the load I had from Greeley, Co to Mira Loma, CA I picked up was set on continuous from the pick up. Set in the loaded call and every 10am and 3pm check call the next couple of days as continuous. I get 100 miles from delivery today and I get a message to set the unit on start-stop. Really!? You wait til I am just about at the consignee and NOW you want me to pull over and reset it. Well, needless to say, I didn't stop to reset it because I was only 100 miles away, an hour and half early, but you know how California traffic can be; so, I wasn't taking the chance.
Second, after I unloaded and got the trailer washed out, I went to the TA in Ontario to refuel the reefer and as I get of the truck, not realizing that my phone was barely in my pocket, it fell out and broke it self real good. Good thing there was a Verizon store inside the TA; so, I managed to get me a new Samsung Galaxy Core Prime and port my number of to that phone for the low cost of $60.
So, after all that, got me a load from Yuma to Dallas for my home time on beginning on Saturday. -
Has anyone been to the Taylor Farms Drop Yard in Dallas, Tx on West Ledbetter Drive? Found it on google maps, but the only gate I see don't look like trucks can fit under, but yet there are trucks parked in the lot.

Made it to the Fort Worth yard just before noon. Left the Love's in Anthony, Tx (I-10 exit 0) at midnight. Drove to Midland where I took a nap, a little shopping at Wal-Mart, and breakfast. Then drove the rest of the way to Ft. Worth. Made it with 19 minutes to spare. Talked to the local driver here (one for the few company drivers left and nice guy) about the Taylor Farms delivery. Turns out that if your dispatch sends you to the Taylor Farms drop yard on Ledbetter Drive; it really is a drop and hook. If your dispatch sends you to the N. ####rell Hill location, then it is a live unload.
Lucky for me, my dispatch says the drop yard on Ledbetter. So, when I recap my hours at midnight, I'm heading over there and dropping this trailer, getting an empty and heading to the house for home time. If everything goes smooth, I will be home before the kids get up.
Now, its time to relax, wait for my chinese delivery from HongKong Express, then get some sleep.crxdc Thanks this. -
