My recruiter wants to set me up to run out of kernersville. Says I would really like the DM she has in mind for me. I don't remember his name but she told me he drove for 20 years and is a very good dispatcher. Does this mystery DM sound familiar bigsarge?

That's a good area, those N.E. guys are eating good. Are you going to be dispatched from Carlisle or the drums yard?

Wow i see this thread is still alive loll..Thats good.. So yea i had some ups and downs this past few weeks..The truck that i originally got from Quality was messed up..Took it for 3 allignments in total..Couldn't get it to go straight ..So whatever i let Quality know and they told me to bring it back to Indy for further testing..after about a week in the shop and a whole lot of adjustments they still couldn't fix it..probably had a bad frame and didn't want to tell me. So anyways i told them i'm not taking it back sooo either i get a new truck or im buying a flight back to the house. So then i finally got a new truck..2016 lonestar..This truck is awesome. loll a little more expensive but hey good things cost money.. As far as the work goes..I read the last couple of pages of this thread and i see alot of people are involved.. Eagle is a good place.. And yes they are owned by Celadon and Celadon is not a bad company either from what i see and hear. I do alot of NE stuff and i make my money. The week that i was down they didn't charge me for anything and also gave me another 2 free weeks cuz i got a new truck.. And so far this week and by the end of tue..I will have a big ##### paycheck on fri..biggest one so far since i've been trucking.loll So i'm happy here . .the trick to all of this is get the good paying loads(less miles more $$) and spend less time @ the dock. If u don't wana run the NE cuz ur scared of the traffic or just don't wana deal with it..Fine then go down south and run for 1.15 a mile..Just don't complain at the end of the week when you got a 3500 gross and 1600 spent on diesel..lol This is a business ..not a job ..Its a business and lifestyle.. No1 is going to hold ur dam hand..No u r not paid for empty miles ..No if ur empty no1 is gona bust their behind to find you a load..ur not a company driver ..I get on the loadboard and find me loads my self..I call the brokers and negotiate. if you don't know how to price the loads then learn the market..I did ..The deductions are alot im not gona lie..50 Bucks a week for the qualcom is crazy..at least turn on the dam navigation loll.I addressed it to them but this company is new..They got a lot to learn . Anyways the freedom is good here.. I work where i want to ..I go home alot..And i make good money . If anyone has any questions just PM me and ill gladly answer them.

You would have to actually make an effort to spend that much a week on fuel down south.

What exactly are the deductions at Eagle? QC? Insurance? Base Plates? EZ Pass? Trailer?

Who pays tolls? Lumpers? Fuel Card?

    Any discounts? Fuel? Parts? Service?

And what about revenues? This thread is 20 pages in and there is not a lot of discussion on any of the real meat and potatoes of running a business. What's the percentage on broker loads? Dispatched loads? FSC? Policy on detention pay? Driver unload/assist? TONU/VNU?
