Smoking in Company trucks

I used to smoke in the truck, but once I hit a bump and almost dropped the butt into my whiskey. I quickly reached to grab it and knocked the whiskey over, it spilled on my cocaine and weed. Well, I'm not dumb, I haven't smoked in a truck since.

 

Seems funny no responses from smokers who are willing to pay.....

I remember reading somewhere that more than 50% of truck drivers are smokers. So I wouldn't guess to many companies will be banning smoking in there trucks with the current driver shortage in the industry. A decent company will have the truck cleaned properly and the cabin filters replaced after a heavy smoker turns it in.

As a non-smoker, that would be my company policy if I had hired hands operating my equipment. As a company driver, I'd have to leave the windows open for 2-3 months to air it out every time I'd be assigned to a truck formerly issued to a smoker...and that just isn't going to happen in a truck I own. You want to smoke? Do it on your own time, in your own vehicle. Smoke in MY truck, and you can find employment elsewhere.

 

The problem is your company has driver's walking off with a brand new trucks after putting only 50,00 miles on it crazy!

 

Food vacuums up, and spilled beverages can be mopped up off the rubber floor. Cigarette smoke permeates into the fabric, headliner, vents, and everything else...and short of tearing apart the interior and washing EVERYTHING, is dern near impossible to completely eliminate the odor.

I'm not allergic. I just find the odor disgusting. Not going to tolerate it in my truck. Period. Don't like it? Go drive somebody else's truck or buy your own.
