So we should have the same full supply chain visibility. All original invoices to show how much each party charges for the products hauled. How much the shipper charges for the load and shiping. Then how much the broker charges, with the pay out to the carrier. You can have GPS tracking the moment you want, right now. Just as long as you are going to pay for the service. It works both ways.

I totally agree with you, there is nothing more frustrating then people who lie and back stab one another. Its like a trial State Attorney vs Criminal Attorney. Both sides are aware of all things going on that's why you have "discovery" and Full disclosure that's why a Trial makes every party aware of all materials in its possession. Unfortunately some companies are very behind in the times. You are also right about the GPS tracking I think if it improves customers being aware, that saves time for dispatchers who have to trace loads instead of trying to get new ones for their operators. If shippers don't want to pay for the gps service, well you get exactly what you pay for.

Horsecrap. For 90% of the freight moved every day there is NO need for "real time" knowledge of where the shipment is.

I would love to have a real time dashcam and satellite tracking map on my website live all the time. More as a sales gimmick and advertising than actual functionality, transparency is my best friend. Who knows, if I did it maybe I would connect with someone who really needed it. At this point the only ways of doing it would require some pretty expensive items, mostly the data transfers.

Perhaps uploading a low res pic every 10 minutes and updating position every 10 minutes would be possible. not as cool as live tracking and video, but gotta start somewhere

In the old days, the old two check system. When you got paid you also got a copy of the freight invoice. But who wants to pay dues to the Teamsters? In a heartbeat i'd be first in line./

Straitliner, you have to find some good brokers. Lose all the numbers you have of the brokers you're having problems with.
I've had my authority since 2000, been a broker (officially) since 2005 and I never lie to any drivers, dispatchers or O/O's.
I expect the same from them and from the brokers I deal with. Anyone lies to me, that's it. I'm done working with them.
Just had a broker 2 wks ago (RJS) try to screw me out of pay by trying to pull a fast one on me. One load and he showed me how he backs out on his promises. I won't ever do a load for them again. See my posting in Broker Forum.

A man that knows his worth will find good brokers to work with.
