Schneider and Landstar are both 65% plus FSC unless you bring a trailer to Landstar.
Schneider pays most all tolls where as Landstar doesn't
Landstar you deal with brokers which can be both good or bad. Schneider rates are already set. Not all freight is Schneider, there are brokered loads here.

Me too and that's why I got frustrated with my dm,coz he got a great rate on my first load and I guess to him I wasn't appropriately grateful(it seemed to him) and he wanted me to run for like 1.25 to the truck in return, which is alright if that's all u can do....but I think we understand each other now 😉 and he let me back on his team lol.....and he delivered two great loads since....
mystic, there is no fuel discount just like at swift,u just find best fuel prices u can (2.28 a gal at quicktrip in so. Carolina) I need to see a settlement and will know more then, too much new stuff is in my head now... Need to see that then analyze what's happened ......I'm new to a lot of this and have been away from trucking awhile.... -
Anyone know what the requirements are for a truck if you bring one to them? Their website is just about useless and I don't feel like calling a recruiter, they generally annoy me.

Wow this is a pretty interesting thread. the way eagle is setup they should be at the very least paying 85%. Financing the truck with nothing down, as soon as you sign on the dotted line they just put 147,000 or whatever they charged you for the truck into the asset column. So multiply that by how many lease purchase deals they have going on and you see that they make money from day one. Just like a bank loaning out someone elses money. Simply put if they take 10,000,000 at 2 percent charge you 10 percent they make 800,000 dollars per year for doing nothing. Throw 25 percent of revenue in there and I'm sure they are able to pay rent on that ghetto crib they got for an office. LOL but you still can make money there not as much as you deserve but what the heck. For me I have a good dm but he is young and new and his support group is lacking. For me i want organization to get things done right my truck is illegal and has been since day one. Not permited properly no plate temporary or otherwise. Just one example When I started I asked where do I get my permits they sent me back to Celadon which was wrong finally I just asked people if they were the person who does permits and I found the girl. The toilets upstairs don't work half the time. Again you might make some money if you do it all yourself and again why should you for 75% The people are pretty nice especially down in Laredo Well if you haven't got anything better, then work hard and succeed at Eagle you can do it. I wish you success in whatever you do. I'm 4 more years and out (hopefully)
Loke, Kryptonite82 and fr8monkey Thank this. -
I send them a message last night, lets see if I can make more money with them I want to lease a van to work the northeast( I already have a flatbed moving empty containers out of the port)
-
Just to be clear ... I'm saying that you and Landstar are 75% after the FSC is included ... I've spot checked the rates you and others have posted and for any given lane, the rate that you've been paid is, give or take, pretty much equal to the average line haul rate for that lane plus the FSC. Which nets out to 75% of the spot rate for that lane.fr8monkey, freightwipper and Loke Thank this.

Lot's of good, positive posts on this board. I will be at Eagle on Monday, coming in from Omaha, NE, the company I'm coming from we ran a lot of Cali. loads, and I love going into southern Ca, Phoenix AZ area and head back to Nebraska, but not sure if dry van works well in those area's. I'm excited to be going to work for this small, disorganized, but money making group called Eagle, and as long as I get a good truck and make the paper to pay the bills, I'm good.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
Well looks like gonna be a full house this week .im gonna be there also
