That seems to be the message. Blame the guy for being parked where he was. Blame the truck stop for not ensuring clear access to the scale. Gob forbid we blame the driver for hitting a non moving object.
The company has no right to hit the driver up for thousands but the driver is responsible and therefore his company should be on the hook IMO. Unless I'm reading it wrong those two posts seem to indicate the guy who got hit should just suck it up and learn how to park properly.icsheeple, BrenYoda883, double yellow and 1 other person Thank this. -
Without pictures I wonder just how small this accident really is.
BrenYoda883 Thanks this. -
No matter where someone is parked you cant just go around hitting them. It doesn't work like that.
I suppose it was to far a walk for this driver to hope out of his truck and ask the other driver to move a little. SMH at all the lazy drivers these days... -
Yes, the junky truck was making it's owner money. And yes, its funny when you have a POS truck and you try to get it repaired for so much money. But its just funny, nothing else. If I had a junky truck and got hit by somebody, I would also try to get the most out of this situation and do the best repair for my truck.
And about his downtime. When you park your truck at a busy truck stop in a place where you are not supposed to park, you can and should expect that some driver might damage your truck. You can blame yourself and your luck just as much as blaming the driver that hit you.Last edited: Apr 12, 2015

Why is that newbies think they get a "free pass " to get in wrecks?? Thats what you learn not to do before you get your cdl.
I know sure as heck my parents didn't let me get my license then tell me to go learn how to drive, thats what I learned before I got my license!!
Its pathetic how people dont want to take the blame for their actions.double yellow, passingthru69, pattyj and 6 others Thank this. -
In reality his company is saying pay up to keep his job, I suggest he find an other employer,,

I am still waiting for the reply to this question. That "who cares" attitude.....well, if I have nothing nice to say, my Momma always said keep my mouth shut. Almost 46 years old and I am finally starting to take that advice....smh -
I agree.I think if a driver hits something and its preventable,he should pay for it rather then finding every excuse not to make it out to be their fault.
BrenYoda883 and truckon Thank this. -
What exactly are you waiting for? He drives slow, even when driving his personal car.
Since you have a problem with what I said, feel free to reply in that original thread or in my "speeding ticket" thread
