tell your friend to go to the dispatch window and ask for the information about the new dashcams.

swift is not that stupid, they would lose 1/3 to half their fleet and would bankrupt themselves.

 

No they wouldn't. There's a new crop of new drivers every week. Even at CRE. Even at western express. You could tell guys you're going to anally rape them and pour sugar in their gas tanks and tell them you're going to pay them the 5th Friday of every 3 months and they'll be lined up around the block for a driving job.

 

If you think the company management cares what drivers think, you're mistaken. The big companies are going to do what they want, and if you aren't willing to bend over & grab your ankles, then you aren't the kind of driver they want. The megas already have obscenely high turnover...they have systems in place to recruit and hire large numbers of drivers, so if they have 50 or 500 drivers quit over a new policy, they'll have the seats filled again in a matter of weeks.

 

they will not lose 50-100 drivers more like 2500 to 5000 drivers right off the bat. yeah they can replace them but not before they lose freight contracts because of the sharp drop in active trucks.

not to mention they tried this idea last year and most drivers refused to drive the trucks so they removed the cams

 

I think you should spend a little more time before pretending you understand trucking or truckers.

 

Ummm .... All the Werner drivers were up in arms back in 08 when Werner decided to go with paperless logs. Every driver you talked to was going to quit. It was going to be the end of Werner. They proceeded and they're still here and seem to be going strong. Won't be any different if Swift goes with the cameras. A few will quit. Most won't.

A job in hand is better than 1000 applications.
