Well, I am trying to help you not to make a mistake in a life time and telling you everything isn't on the up and up. You can't used your own brokers if they aren't already approved with Celadon and if Celadon is already doing business with them, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO USED THEM. This is what turned me off at first. Then if you fueled at the company approved fuel stop then they will charged you $3.50 and if you fueled at a fuel stop that isn't approved, then it is $7.00. You have three escrows that are coming out your paycheck up to 1500 $29 dollars every week. It is a nickel and dime deal and it didn't make no sense to me. I am not telling no one not to go to Eagle or Celadon, but you better make sure you understand what you are getting in to and get off on the right foot or you will go under fast! That is all I am saying..

Can anyone refute this? Couple this with getting clipped on detention, trailer costs, no tolls and base plates ... It's beginning to appear that Eagle is not the droid I've been looking for.

I don't drive for Eagle and don't have a copy of the contract ... I'm doing my due diligence to see if I may pursue it further.

Right now it looks like I would I have to gross about $200K at Eagle, just to break even on what I'm doing now on $180K.

I am going to get through orientation, pick my truck, learn and work the system, put in my blood, sweat and tears, and I think I will be fine. I know guys running at Road Runner, and they nickel and dime you to death, but these guys watch their settlements and their money, and they consistently bring home over 1k. So Eagle charges for everything, remember, we didn't come to Eagle with our own truck, they are giving us one with no money down, and no credit check, how many of us have the credit and money to go get our own truck and trailer? Let's make the most of what we have been given, it's a good program, it takes thought and work, but still a good program.
Don't sweat the small stuff, watch your pennies, and the dollars will take care of themselves.:yes2557:

MysticHz, I too am on the fence. I have a wonderful wife and mother in law, plus a dog to take care of. I'm also looking at Schneider IC program. I'm going to keep reading about how everyone is doing and slowly make up my mind. I would like to see a list of brokers and of companies that we can take the truck to. So far lots of good information people. Thank you

Did first day of Orientation today! It was somewhat disorganized and because we are going thru Celadon's place, they do help the Celadon drivers first. Got a few things done today, but as soon as they get everyone else from last week finished up. We will be able to move on to other things. Day 2 will allow time to pick truck and get driving test done. Down side is that I still have to go onto Butler for another day of Eagle orientation and get equipment. Good luck to us all!!
