Not paranoid and as far as I understand the technology you are correct, they can't view it live, yet. They could go back and pull segments. Don't really care. The ONLY purpose served by having a driver facing camera is to throw the driver under the proverbial bus. My do said "you don't have anything but I have another driver with 2 critical events, 9 hard braking and two accidents." No offense intended but that driver won't even be helped by a cam.
-
Thanks a million Buckeye I'll check it out there
-
like how he said the camera is a drivers coach. to help him. bs i say. nothing more than get driver in trouble. like that rat squad they hire to follow us and take videos
-
In going to start pre tripping naked. I'll let y'all know if they randomly pull up video.
-
I'm stunned. The scary part is Dick may actually believe the words he uttered.
The only consolation in that entire video is he gave us an email addy. I'm confident it'll have much traffic. -
After waiting all of yesterday for a load one finally came through at 0445 this morning.
PU in the same city by 0500 and deliver in OR.
That $%^&UYTRFGH system tried to give me 15 minutes to wake up, get up, get ready, do a pre-trip and get to the shipper!
Well... I say nay, NAY!
I call Fontana and get one of the jerks who won't tell me the real pu window, then Mac-9 it saying no because of my home time request. But, add a t-call and a realistic pick up time.
I went in to Walmart to freshen up a bit and when I got back to the truck there was a message from the planner.
He said I could t-call at Inver Grove and that he would take care of it as soon as I committed to the load.
So I did.
It was picking up right across the street, maybe 200 yards from the Walmart.
The load assignment gave me until 0600, which was easy, and the planner was true to his word and got the t-call.
It was sent as a live load but turned out to be one of the easiest d/h places ever.
And...
I'm HOME now!!!
And at a new apartment that my sister just moved to.
It's a great place, to say the least. I have an oddly shaped room, which is nice in a unique way. A walk in closet, plenty of room, a nice view and very friendly people running the place.
And I have plenty of room to park the truck in the parking lot. I can even park it along the street with a trailer if I want.
She called to get the internet hooked up, and they told her that we would have to provide our own router for wireless.
I wasn't too sure about that, or how things worked or hooked up, so I bought a router on the way home.
There are wired network connections in most rooms. When I connected my laptop directly I had instant internet at 100Mb/s. Sweet.
I'm going to like it here. Hopefully she won't get the urge to move again for some time.Kindle, HousTank, OceanDan and 1 other person Thank this. -
Bend over, Dick has something for you. He's a good actor, well for a porn actor. I've thought of using my personal e-mail to send him my opinion. I would even be polite. But my personel e-mail address is ...well not a good one to use and they have my business one.OceanDan Thanks this.

Nice to hear something upbeat! Have a good home time!Moosetek13 and OceanDan Thank this.

Moose..You're crackin' me up man!! You're supposed to be the calm one
Enjoy your new pad!!
At the FlyJ in Cheyenne WY on I-25/80. Well, sort of..parked on the bordering street with many others as this place is full. I-80 is closed 'tween Cheyenne and Laramie due to high winds, snow, ice and God knows what else. The weather is pretty crummy.
I have to pick up I-70 in Denver to get to Wichita KS tomorrow for my unload but not only is it terrible all the way to Denver the weather is now also falling apart in Kansas. I'm looking forward to getting home and out of this truck for a few days.OceanDan Thanks this.
