I don't understand why a judge would think a co driver would have $10,000 to post bond with.

The media around this is stupid. One media station is saying should of bought a high dollar value GPS, Western PA Media is flipping stupid when it comes to tractor trailers. The Cop and Magistrate is simply pulling this stunt to generate revenue from a out of state poor english speaking truck driver.

Taking advantage of a truck driver. Local deliveries well above this weight limit is crossed numerous times a day. This non native is getting raped. Dislike non english speaking drivers as the rest of youns. But this dude is getting railroaded.

If they want that much he should just park his truck in the court room and give the judge the keys

"Police believe he mistook Alpine Street in Canonsburg for Alpine Drive, a rural road in Cecil Township."

    ^^^

Right there! The cops & judge know he made a mistake, but now they can high-five each other for bringing in revenue and sticking it to a blue collar worker. More scumbags in positions of power.

Hmmm, 4 days in jail gets me OUT of a $17,000 fine?

Think about that, that's $4250 per day!

I'd spend 36 hours in the pokey if it meant I could walk away from my medical bills (the ones the President said I wouldn't have anymore if his law got passed?)

Heck in a week I could write off a mortgage!

no wonder the system is broken.

The technical term is Magistrate around here. Anyone can be voted in as a judge with out any common sense OTJ Law enforcement experience. ""District Judge"",The AP is retarded. Elected positions. Driver is getting railroaded.

Revenue and High fives next council meeting budget.
