The question you need to ask yourself is how often do you plan to train.
To remain competetive in lifting.
Becasue OTR and regular training are all but mutually exclusive.
The opportunity to workout with any regularity just isn't there.
Maybe when you get older, many companies require 23 years of age or older to hire on as a driver, you will get the job you're looking for.
Otherwise you might look to the local newspaper, garbage haulers, beverage distribution, furniture delivery (I preferred office furniture).

I haven't been OTR either,ever.
I do get out overnight a couple times a year though.
And I've been at this for 13 years now. SO its possible, but less likely than with OTR experience.

Your a lucky one. Didn't go otr first and you got right in local. I went otr for about five months then local.

Lucky and persistant. I took the time to fill out a lot of applications go on Several interviews and find the right job for me.

Once you get used to it its not bad, plus about 3/4 of my driving is in the suburbs
