Its not a cake walk, the way I try to look at it is, you get out of it, what you put into it.

Its taken me about 17-18 mths to really figure it out, and get use to it, the way they work remember they are a furniture company, that does back huals and beer delivery's lol

And we are Managed by people that live in the middle of Wisconsin, in a very small town called Arcadia----LOL

Nothing wrong with that I like the place, but most of them have never been put in our locations that we operate in.

Like I believe the Flying musician, said at one of our info exchanges here, you have to reprogram your Brain, you can make your money here, not just by running just miles-but with drop and hook fees, and lay over fees, and Management fees--

got them back today when I rolled through advance to pick up the jax load. body shop over at peterbilt had them. forgot to put them back on after they did the touchups on the hood and bumpers. wash crew scraped it up pretty bad a few months ago so when I was in the loaner last week they sent it over there to repaint the hood and bumpers.

still missing my left side stripe they're going to get it on this weekend when I get in

That happened to all eight truck units in Brandon about 14 months ago, all trucks had to go to the paint shop, it was a pain, had mine done threw ECRU, had the loaner, for 2 weeks, yes it was a pain---

2800 miles and 24 f.e. last week and 2500 miles and 18 f.e. this week. I got in to leesport Thursday at 6 p.m. waited on a Syracuse load until 1030 the next morning. I got layover for it, ended up going home after I got to Syracuse. my weekly average is just over 2500 miles a week with 18 f.e. since the first of the year.

I get home yesterday around 1400 and settle for awhile and start the grill while the wife has the potatoes and other stuff going in the kitchen. the 4 dummies are milling around the kitchen as always once the food gets going and then usually migrate outside and guard the grill while the meat is going. I put the meat on and standing there watching it with 3 of the 4 and the border collie mix comes flying out of the dog door with a loaf of warm buttered brown BBQ bread in her mouth and heads for the back of the yard lol

she was so pleased with herself sitting back there scarfing down that bread while my wife stands there madder than hell on the porch lol first time she's ever done anything like that but knowing her I have to wonder how many times she's watched the food in the kitchen just waiting for the right opportunity and it finally presented itself. told the wife she couldn't be mad at the dog she knows how much of a food ##### she is. she finally saw something really good that got left a little too close to the edge of the counter. all I could do was laugh.......but I sure wanted that bread.

ended up with a good week after such a slow and frustrating start. 3290 and 14 d/h but out a full 6.5 days to get it and only 1hr 10 min left on the 70 when I got in. still.....not bad considering end of the day Tuesday after 3 days out I only had 1100 and 4 d/h. they ran me too death the rest of the week. talking to another advance guy running with me going home Saturday he had the same week. nothing the first 3 days then killed it the rest of the week. he ended up with 3600.

    Randleman to Baraboo for mon.

now for a blast from the not too distant past lol

gotta give classic_150 a pat on the back for these directions. first time I'd been in there today. niether of the dumb ####### in a box had a clue where it was and the google map only showed an open field at that address. I would have found it eventually anyway as crossroads pkwy isn't but a couple miles long but sure was nice having the directions beforehand. the hard part was scrolling back through the pages to find them lol but in knew they were back there somewhere.

coming out got Midwest casepack in Naperville. if you've been there, then I don't need to say a word do I?

2 1/2 hrs in and out for a preloaded drop and hook. what an absolute clusterf***..........they were tyring to work twice the number of trucks they had room for or could service.

check in. take the empty around back. no spots. employee cars parked in half the trailer spots. pull back around front. drop the empty on the opoosite side of the building. run the obstacle course of trucks parked everywhere back to the drop side. hook the load. pull it back around front to the other side and drop it. hurry and hook the empty then get blocked in trying to ge tback around to the empty spot before someone drops something in it. pull back around to the other side and hook the load. fight the obstacle course again to get back to the shipping office to get my paperwork. that took an hour. sign 32 BOLS. go back to the truck and wait for the girl to come out with the seal and the final BOLS. that took another hour for her to drag her ### out there. get blocked in by 2 more trucks and wait for them to come back outside. 30 more minutes.

I could have made my drop in Menomonie today if not for all that bs but after wasting all that time all I could get to was black river falls with 3 minutes left when I pulled the brakes. no plan for tomorrow yet so no need in going in at 0400 when I could get there. wait and roll in around 0600 or so and see what we get tomorrow. so far other than that mess today shaping up to be a good week.

    classic_150 Thanks this.

long week but a good one. left 7am Monday got in 1800 Saturday.

3317 for the week and 14 d/h will make a decent check

    Randleman to Baraboo
    Baraboo to portage to arcadia
    arcadia to Romeoville
    romeoville to Naperville to menomonie
    menomonie to arcadia deadhead
    arcadia to Viroqua live unload
    Viroqua to arcadia deadhead
    arcadia to stevens point
    stevens point to arcadia deadhead
    arcadia to advance

pretty uneventful week other than the clusterf*** at Naperville, a weight issue with the Viroqua load and my gps died. I like uneventful weeks.

planned out to Brandon for Monday 2200 drop. no choice but run it in one roll due to my reset clock. should have never done it once in one trip lol now they expect it. at least with a 2200 drop I won't have the afternoon traffic heading into Brandon to worry about stressing my clock over.
