    Hello,

I've been driving 60" buses for a few years now and it's time for a change. Has anyone attended Dootson how was the training and job placement. Any infomation would really go along way I would love to stay west coast only but with zero experience I don't think that will happen just yet

Btw I have all endorsements for my CDL .

    Thank you very much
    Ryan

It's easy to stay west coast only. Many companies have western regional.
Put you location on your profile so drivers posting on here can inform you as to companies with western regional. Need to know the hiring area you live in.

    How much does Dootson cost?
How many hours is the school?

thank you for reply I was actually hoping that you would be the first to do so I'm a long time lurker..

Thats the thing when I spoke to them they didn't have an answer to that she said it was up to me and how fast I learned and that the price could be as high as $3500 to as low as $600.

I was was even looking at swift but I'm not sure on that one.

Well, thanks for the confidence. Many experienced drivers on here put much effort into helping new drivers just entering the trucking field.
Many companies want 160 hr. schools and some don't care if it's less because they have additional training anyway.
KKW Trucking in Pomana just hired a driver from a 20 hr. school: the driver posted that himself. They provide additional training.
    KKW runs :

Swift has excellent training, but the only negative is they are installing driver facing cameras in the trucks plus sound recording devices such as conversations. Knight Transportation would be better; no cameras.

    Others with Western divisions:

    National Carriers
    Decker Truck Line
    Gardner Trucking
TWT Refrigerated Service - operates in WA, OR, CA, AZ, and TX.

If you see a company you like, call and ask about which schools they hire from and how many hours.

Khan D' Kulia Trucking School is not authorized to operate in the State of California. You have an array of licensed schools in Fontana, CA area.

    Roadmasters
    United
    TDA - Central Ref
    Pilot
    Advance
    etc...

    Thanks for the help guys.

I went down to Fontana today to talk to someone at Khan abd really didn't like it the girl at the office really couldn't answer any questions I had but to up date the price with them is $1500.

I also made contact with Gina at KKW And will do my best to get on with them.
