You would be surprised how rampant that is. As far as personal use, anything a grocery store employee can steal is money they don't have to spend on food. One or two items in the coat pocket every day adds up to lots of food over a period of time. Even missing tobacco is good to blame the driver for. "Hey, driver, we're missing a carton of Winstons or a tube of Copenhagen." They try to distract you,"Hey, driver, go get a cup of coffee then we'll count this tobacco." While you're filling your cup they hide a carton of their favorite brand of cigarettes.

Thanks Chinatown :) You talked me out of them. I don't want to quit my current job without a good reason. My biggest present grevience is not having weekends off. I'll likely be working 7 days this week. And for having the weekend off as requested a month in advance, I'm sure that will be reniged. It's been nothing but work and hassels and watch out for the man. I'm feeling sorry I left Zhong Guo.

Just went and got a DOT physical and strenght test(the HR woman seemed pretty impressed by my strenght test,i dont know why, lol.maybe cause im over 45 yo)I was told 2 on 1 off,2 on 2 off,1300 -1500 a week to start, brand new Volvos or FLs autos.Del to the 5 boros(28' to 32') or LI(48')sleeper w/ co driver, new barn, benefits start as soon as your hired,3 weeks training and ill get paid the same as the trainers,no splitting pay w/ co driver.theyll pay for my miles to the training site in Syracuse.Seemed pretty decent people and I told them if theyre lying about anything im outta there, they reassured me they werent,I said ok lets get this pony saddled up.Devrys to 7-11s,wal-Marts ect.Sounds like a decent place, ive done this work before and dont mind it.When I signed on to Estes for a LH run I thought id retire there, but that place was a CF and a half, hopefully this wont be.

Experience may vary but read my thread of my personal experience with Mclane Grocery

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...eads/mclane-grocery-suneast-kissimmee.235132/

    Cliff Notes
-Ridiculously long shifts 20-24 hour is normal
-Working while on Sleeper Berth or Off Duty for your 30
-Extra Board on call is no fun, you will have no life and get called at any time of day/night to come into work
    Etc. Etc. Etc.

What may be bad for me may be good for you. I traded that to be grease monkey for a bit and am now driving 11-12 hours a day and loving it lol.

I wish you the best of luck, McLane is a great company I just think my terminal had way too many issues, plus I despised going to Miami everyday lol

Well just finished orientation w/ Mclane in Baldwinsville NY.4 days in the classroom,3 of the usual stuff the 4th was going over delivery procedure and how to use the scanner. Was pretty impressed w/ the training,it was pretty thorough. The benefits a very good and they have an excellent 401k plan.ill go out for ojt for 3 3 day weeks, then ill be assigned to my route for 2 more 4 day weeks to get to know the stops and then turned loose.the money is good and a 4 day week isnt too bad either.hopefullly this works out,I think it will they were pretty upfront there,so we will see.

Everything stated here sounds exactly like Sygma, the company I drive for except we run all night and I think Mclane runs days which is why I'm thinking about switching but yes, the first few weeks are rough but every day gets a little easier. You'll get in shape and make $$ that's for sure
