I would think so..... I don't think they would send me a prehire unless they were.

How do you know this school has good training? What questions did you ask them before deciding PTEC?

Only 8 per class which gives high individual attention, 1000 hours wheel time compared to 40 hours at places like roadmaster, pull empty and loaded trailers, 320 hour course compared to 120 hours at roadmaster, talked to previous students about how good the training was... Etc. Also, PTEC is $2400 compared to $6000 for roadmaster. Other guys in this thread went to ptec, and could definitely answer more questions about it than I could though.

thank you. I am looking forward to it. I know it won't be all sunshine and rainbows but I've wanted to do it my whole life. Rode a desk for 11 years, so it will be a nice change.

Great that you got a prehire, I start CDL school in two weeks and waiting until next weekend to start sending applications which will give me a month cushion. Do you know what Wolding pays per year estimated?

I start May 18th. I guess it depends on your miles... But they have a pretty good pay package and some real good safety bonuses. They start students at 32 cents a mile for the first 6 months but it goes up from there. Wolding is my first choice because I like their philosophy as a company and the drivers seem to be happy there. Not to mention, they have an incredible safety score. I just hope the prehire turns into driving for them.

Well the time has finally come! Monday I start school and begin the journey into trucking. Very excited and very nervous at the same time. I will try and keep you all updated on my progress.
